  1. Definitely!

I recently did the MAF sensor and air filter. While I was in there I got in the throttle body with throttle bottle cleaner and a toothbrush. Dirtied 2 shop rags worth of carbon build up. Acts like it can finally breath again. lol.

  2. Finally had some time to swap out a medium size pile of parts on the thing.

Just need to flush the system and I’ll be done for this go round.

Is this a newer paint job? It looks great!

    What color blue is that?

    Thanks! Original job somehow.

Was lucky to get this 1 owner from a older lady who bought it new in 94 and has kept it in the garage.  Still has the lighter blue pinstripes pretty well intact.

Also helps to live in the Pacific Northwest. lol

I believe its is Sapphire Blue, or Blue Jade.

    Navy blue to me lol

  4. That is really great to know! I will look into it more if I am to experience anymore trouble. You guys have been a great help. I swapped the oil soaked starter and it started great for a time. Then the intermittent issue returned. I took the 6 screws out to get the ignition switch and sure enough the 4 out of the (I think 5) clip in points for the ignition switch were broken. Resulting in the improper seating of the ignition switch, and I'd bet dollars to donuts that's where the issue lied. $30 bucks later, a new switch, and no further problems thus far.

  5. I was having intermittent one click no crank, no start.

Recently I went to start the rig, and there was not even the "1" click, just nothing at the turn of the key.

Dash lights lite and door chiming confirming battery is good.

Smacked the starter with a wrench, the one click came back, and eventually cranked and started right up.

Does this eliminate the possibility that its the ignition switch, and confirm it has to be the starter going out?

I only say this because the previous owner has history of the starter being replaced several times for whatever reason.

  6. Thanks for the info! I took off the MAF and housing and gave it a good cleaning. I also switched back to a wix filter because I’d heard horror stories of the knandn getting oil on the maf, crap sticking to it, and sending fooey voltage. Also cleaned about 2 shop towels worth of carbon build up from the throttle body housing. Running like a top now.

  8. Finally got rid of the hideous stock exhaust and tip. 2.5 cat back with the shortest magna flow I could do. Unfortunately no off road adventure yet. Mostly family errands. Can’t wait for the summer 103a3146373e2f31c468cc70c7fb1ea6.jpg
