All done! I think it looks good. Really glad I found out about the WD21 transfer case skid plate compatibility. Saves me the time and work of putting something together for that rear section.
-
I remember coming across this! It’s certainly a very cool idea. If I don’t like over the rails I’m sure this is a lot what mine will look like
-
Me too. Definitely look better than the late model ones imo. Couldn’t find a white one in the JY but black is just as good

Got a transfer case skid plate off a WD21 and a black honeycomb grill for a total of $9! Just need to drill in my old Nissan logo. For whatever reason the black grill looks better in person than in picture.
-
Never thought of that. Makes sense that they provide some protection. I have the same exact pathfinder and took those boards off. Mine were pretty beat up though. Your truck looks super good though!

That looks awesome! Looks like you got the dimesnrions right

R50 Tire Carrier Mod: Let's settle this!

That is incredibly disappointing -
cool video

Read some reviews for the heck of it. All I can say is if you have your heart set on engine performance, you won’t find it in that chip. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t15065_ds509816 Also, that video @Slartibartfast put up is very worthwhile to watch. It really warns against any kind of OBD2 based “chip” or “tune”.

4WD Light Blinking When Put into 4wd????
PathyDude17 replied to joshrichard's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Ya I’d say that’s not normal. Have you looked in an FSM for any diagnostic information? -
Went running around some trails in the south half of the Valley. My cousin got his dad’s jeep stuck until we had the bright idea to use its front and rear differential locks. Good time, lots of mud. My new tires handled really well except they got clogged with mud here and there.

Love the rims and the bullbar, looks awesome
-
How well did it work, would it be possible for me to get my hands on one?
-
Did this ever make it onto your truck?

R50 Tire Carrier Mod: Let's settle this!

For anyone whose geeking out on this tire carrier, me and @Astrorami just figured out this might be the rarest OEM part for pathfinders -
Do you have a picture of the cutoff line/glare?

Just to give you a quick answer, when I talked to Micah, he's got a 3/4" spacer up front, and then everything else is like you said. -

Alright, this is crazy, but my dad just showed me a picture of the pathfinder that we owned when I was in elementary school. I kid you not, this is the pathfinder in the junkyard with the new style carrier that I just shipped to @Astrorami. The badging, trim, everything matches, including the fact that it had a tire carrier (looking for more pictures of it), but as of now, I have every reason to believe that my family has twice owned that rear tire carrier assembly. Pretty crazy, lots of history behind this -
03 pilot. Have you checked that cubby under the carpet?
-
My mom had an 03 with that exact subwoofer setup, it was a crappy treated paper one. Terrible sound and no power. But, I bet you could do better on your own. I think they make drop in replacements for that location on 4th gen 4runners, which means something like that must be viable in your scenario too.
-
Good deal, you might want to hit those bolts with some WD40 or whatnot before you try it. I had to let them sit a few hours before I finally got it loose with a breaker bar
-
Did you buy one already, or are you making your own?
