Hey guys Im new to owning a pathfinder I just bought my first one a 1990 xe with 307000 miles it runs like a champ just Burns some oil through the valves I fell in love with it and I'm in the process of fixing it up I'm planning on just swapping the engine so you'll probably see a post or two from me pertaining to that feel free to join in thanks guys

So I want to swap out my vg30e with something else my pathy is a 1990 with 5 speed standard transmission. I've read that a vg33e and a vg30det are good options but I haven't found much as to what all it takes will the motor mounts still work? Will the transmission mount up or will I need a different one? What about wiring do the harnesses match up do I need a new ecu? Can I just drop it in hook it up and go? Any information along those lines you can provide for both engines would be much appreciated
