1991 Pathfinder 4x4 4dr automatic. I got it for $800 due to a couple of transmission quirks. Would love to get her to 100% and learn to off road. Her name is Marilyn. 😊

  1. Thank you! In the morning I will be able to have another go at it. I had to fight like hell to get the deck back in place. There is so much going on back there I can't maneuver to many things. I imagine if I take my compact mirror I should actually be able to see where things are connected behind the dash. Sent on the go!
  2. The weather turned so I put it back in place for now. Sent on the go!
  3. So I pulled the harness and the stereo itself out and there's couple of clusters but I can't quite tell what needs to be switched around. Sent on the go!
  4. So I'm finally able to tear apart the stereo and find out what's going on back there. Sent on the go!
  5. Thank you! I'll dig in after work. Sent on the go!
  6. Yeah I replaced the fuses, didn't help lol. Sent on the go!
  7. Hey everybody, so I'm going to try and pull my stereo out to check and see if the wires are actually placed properly as it may be what's causing my stereo to reset each time I turn the car off. My question is, how tricky is it to remove the stereo here? I haven't done too much tinkering around with this vehicle yet. Thanks in advance! Sent on the go!
  8. Hey everybody! I have issues with the pathy not wanting to shift after an tranny rebuild. I took it back to the shop and after they checked the tranny (which is great) he noticed that one of the sensor connectors is wrong. He said most likely, the previous owner went to a junkyard and found a four wire connector, and adapted it to the three wire that the pathy uses. Does anyone have a picture of what the original connector looks like? I have pictures of what's going on with mine. Sent on the go!

  10. Here's the inside of the console. Are you talking about the holes in the bottom? Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  11. Hi everybody! Sorry for the multiple posts I just got my pathfinder back after a transmission rebuild. Finally able to start working on it now. It doesn't have too many problems it's more of a few quirks here and there. This one is the stereo resets on it when I turn the car off. I've checked the fuses but that didn't seem to do anything. I'm a newbie with vehicles although I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty I feel confident in doing minor repairs although bigger things I'll take to a shop. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  12. Oh wow, I know this is an old thread but I could have thought you were talking about my new pathy! Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  13. My current console is wobbly, busted in parts and I really want cup holders... Lol. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk

  15. Hello I'm trying to find a new center console for my 1991 Pathfinder. I heard the next model up is compatible but the ebrake may have to be shifted. Is it something that I would be able to do easily or should I take it to someone that is more mechanically inclined than myself? Also where would I find the center console to replace the current one? Thanks in advance!
