  1. Done bought 2 switches. It's not the switches. What ever activates the reverse lights inside the transmission is either worn down or just plain worn out. And yes done looked in the fsm wiring diagram and know if I touch the two wires the backup lights will light up I've got a factory Nissan fog light switch that I want to hook up that when you turn it on the switch indicator is going to light up also. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  2. Pay no attention to the red wire the factory wires for the backup lights are the ones I'm holding. The one with the connector and the stripped one beside it sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  3. Great picture! sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  4. Wanting to wire reverse lights to a Switch and do away completely with the switch on the transmission. I have a 98 XE 5speed. How would I wire this? Here are the wires for the back up switch. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  5. Hey guys my 98 Pathy reverse lights don't work . Replaced switch twice and still they flicker. I have a 5 speed so that tells me whatever is inside the tranny that comes in contact with the reverse light switch is worn down rub off or whatever the problem is. The reason for my post is I want to wire my back up lights to a Switch and do away with the switch that goes into the side of the transmission all together. I've looked at the fsm wiring diagram for the back up lights and the switch has 2 wires. I know this is my 12v. The lights come on when I touch the 2 wires so how would I go about wiring a toggle switch so I can turn them on whenever I want. Remember I'm doing away with the back up switch. I've already cut the wires and routed them up by the gear shift for my toggle switch. I can't for the life of me figure out how to wire my switch in. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN

  7. I use a 9-volt battery to test my LEDs and my connections and stuff before I install them it makes it so much easier. That way when you install it you don't have to cxworry about blowing a fuse sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  8. Don't put a bigger fuse in, the 7.5 fuse is fine. You might have a wire that has a bad place and is touching something causing the fuse to blow. You might have a wire crossed. Check your wiring and connections real good. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  9. Nothing like updating interior lights with L.E.D'S. If you know anything about L.E.D bulbs it's easy cheesy to upgrade. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  10. Nissan makes some of the best switches if not the best as far as I'm concerned. Or MILES !!The switches look great man I did the same thing to mine. If you know how to do it it's really easy sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  11. No problem. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  12. I love the way my interior looks. The L.E.D's are the shizzznit! sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  13. The bases are twist in for the guage cluster and climate control all the switches you can forget about using the bases you have to manipulate the bulb by taking the base off the bulb sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  14. I used Hercoo white L.E.D T5 10 pack includes twist in basesOrdered off Amazon 12$ Great deal and very bright. The bulb that's inside your security indicator is a red L.E.D I got some used security tabs at a junkyard they work really well. Of course you have to take them apart to get the red ones, but it's worth it. My cruise control switch I'm using one in it. Using one of the white Hercoo L.E.D bulbs in my rear wiper switch as well. You'll have to manipulate the bulbs to get them to fit in the switches. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN

Congradulation Dad! That's what happens....you can poke fun at them till they take you serious.

  16. What have I not done. Today installed a factory Nissan hitch. I got it off a 97 QX4 that was spending its last days in a junk yard. It had some rust on it along with faded and chipping paint. It was a pain in the rear removing it from the QX4. It had only been on there since 97.....LOL!!! But, I finally got it removed. I grind ed, sanded primer and painted now it looks brand new. I also replaced the rubber step. In all it turned out awesome. It bolted right on to my 98 Pathy. I also removed the wiring harness which had T connectors that hooked right up to my factory tail lights I also installed the hitch wiring itself for trailer pulling.
  17. Also I forgot to mention some switches have two lights built in and some just one. Your cruise control switch has 2. One for the switch itself and the other for indication. Rear wiper switch just 1. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN
  18. It could possibly be your TPS sensor or even IAC valve sticking too. Another possibility is a vacuum leak somewhere. Check hoses, around the upper plenum and lower plenum. Sometimes the IAC valve goes bad and won't throw any codes and on the VG33E 3.3 the IAC is underneath the upper plenum. Maybe your throttle body needs to be cleaned. If it's your TPS sensor you can set it up yourself with a volt meter and a know how. I replaced my TPS 2 weeks ago. If you need help on doing so shoot me a message. sent by MrCox in Lenoir City, TN

  22. First off I don't go 4 wheeling, but the NPORA kicks a$$ ! Let's see where do I start. Back a bout year ago I acquired a 98 Pathfinder XE 5speed. I traded a 94 S10 and painted 2 rooms for a lady. Easy cheesy! Needless to say it was rough inside and out meaning dirty as hell. The lady never washed it but she always had it serviced and had a nice garage to park it in. Once I got it the fun began. Of course I cleaned it up! Washed waxed the whole 9 yards. Long story short it's a great ride and in terrific shape. I've done a lot of modifications inside and out. I don't go 4 wheeling so not into that, but definitely into the 2 wheel drive 5 speed kinda thing. Virtually from 96 to 04 parts will interchange left and right. Some will have to have your own special twist, but really there's so much you can do. GOOD LUCK AND ROCK ON WITH THE R50! sent by MrCox in Knoxville, TN
