  1. The plug on my TPS is sketchy and acts just like that sometimes. It will start right up and sounds strong for a few seconds and then just dies out. Usually after ive removed the air filter housing and it gets bumped. little wiggle gets it running again. maybe something to look at.
  2. Damn dude nice find. There dont seem to be any WD21s in Tucson yards that dont look like skeletor. My interior is terrible.
  3. Gotta be honest here....I don't know too many companies who would reimburse you for having work like that done without prior approval. First issue is the price you were charged for the work seems excessive. Second issue is they may have had a better solution if they could have inspected it. Maybe not, but the policy protects them from being liable for customers mistakes. Seems like your hand were tied this time and you did what you had to do to get on the road, but I can understand them not cutting you a check based on some photos.
  4. Tension rod bushings finally. Left side was really bad. Ate through the sleeve into the rod a little and def needs some welding on the bracket. Right side wasn't too bad. Both came apart easy. Having a bastard of a time lining up the rear hole on the right side. Hit myself in the face trying to force it with a screwdriver so it's break time lol
  5. I replaced my center link and it looked like the previous owner of my 88 just stuck a random bolt through the cross member to use as a front mount point for the stabilizer. The rear was mounted in the ears on the link. Felt slightly more twitchy but also like I had more turn radius without it so I just left it off for now
  6. My passenger door doesn't work at all anymore. The little plastic parts are all wrecked. Another thing in the very long list lol
  7. I feel the same way. Every time I put a fresh clean part on this truck I worry all the parts around it are going to disintegrate lol
  8. Thanks! My technical terminology leaves something to be desired. I can't see any aftermarket valve or any external reason for it to be blocked. It's pretty hard to see back there but it's clear through the heater core all the way to the Hardline between the engine and firewall.the coolant was rusty as well which is why I got new hoses and flushed it. Plan in water pump and timing belt when I get a few days off in a row so I'll just be cold for now and try and figure it out then
  9. +2 for rockauto. I snagged one on wholesale discount for dirt cheap and it looks exactly the same as the OEM one I pulled out.
  10. Last weekend was tie rods, front shocks and center link. This weekend was rad hoses, plugs/wires, oil and coolant change. Truck fought me every step of the way lol. No fancy parts. Tracked the shaky front end to strut/torsion rod bushings so I guess thats next weekend. 410k miles on the 88 and going strong as my daily driver. Love this beater.
  11. Haven't posted in a while. Slowly replacing worn out stuff on my 2dr as I find it on sale lol. Ive done some searching but haven't found an answer. Truck has never had heat. Not even a slight bit of warm air. Heater core has good flow at the firewall with a hose and I can hear a solid clunk when I move the lever from cold to hot on the dash. Of the two lines going into the firewall, the one that comes off the drivers side of the block flows fine. I just did a coolant flush and spraying water in that line forces water out the bottom of the radiator no problem. The other line from the pass side of the engine to the firewall has zero flow. If I blow into it I get nothing. Should that line be blocked like that or should it have flow? Both hoses are new between the firewall and the Hardline off the engine.
