  1. Hi guys sorry some more questions....I have a 2.5dci td pathfinder 2007 and was wondering what 3.0 or higher engine is available for a straight swap....I know the vx9 3.0 in the navaras butni don't know whether it's a drop in or not? Reason I ask is someone mentioned with the weight of this vehicle if it was a 3.0 it would be more economical? Kind regards
  2. Okay seems what is happening is transmission windup....as I'm told these are not meant to be riden on tarmac roads in 4wd something to do with differential....I got it on auto now and seems to be doing very less of the issue.....auto or 2wd seems fine
  3. (If you're using 4x on a slick or loose surface as intended, this works fine. Try it on pavement and it binds up as the front end fights against the rear end and makes the diffs bind up. Usually the weak link is still traction and one of the tires will slip a little if you force the truck to move. Sometimes (especially if it's had a lot of this abuse) the weak link is the transfer case, a CV joint, or one of the diffs) That kinda describes it a little seems as I'm starting to move off I hear or feel wheels slipping while one or 2 are stuck and having trouble releasing or moving so the loose ones are spinning and the others are locked now how many I don't know. But that describes it quite well.
  4. Hi sorry for the late reply been so hectic...I noticed this tend to happens more when the wheel is turned and I'm about to move off from stationary.....or when driving and I turn.....not checked fluids can't hear any clicking but it doesn't feel healthy.... I think I will take it down my local Nissan see what they have to say
  5. Hi Guys I tried using 4wd HI mode and noticed a few issues i am facing and i don't know what it is When i am stationary and I want to go i noticed i am putting my foot down and there's no acceleration as in power..for a few secs and like the vehicle is struggling to move and then there will be a sudden shot of power...Like something is stuck or preventing the car from moving. While I was on the motorway i put it in 4wd and it was going normally and suddenly it started slowing down like something was preventing it from going forward like a like a opposite reaction...kinda like when something is getting stuck and starts slowing down but only for a few secs...but all this is always noticeable from when stationary or reversing...its like im giving it gas and the thing is struggling to move like grinding and stuckish....and then suddenly like unlocks and moves.....weird anyone know what this could be.
  6. propshaft u joint replaced and vibration gone, also a shudder and grind in the breaking that would happen when breaking sharply has gone aswell.....
  7. id say just plug it back into where its unplugged from, you can clearly see there's a empty connector to the right of it...have fire extinguisher handy
  8. Hey thanks for getting back I will try to take some pics this week end and put them up bud. One of them is definitely a A/C condenser and big one behind it is main radiator..the one under the AC condenser I believe is the transmission coolant radiator, its much thinner then the other 2 but either way i will try get some pics up on the weekend. Regarding the vibrations I got the prop shaft checked out and one of the front u joints was gone so getting that replaced tomorrow fingers crossed... After resetting the ecu the brake jamming issue hasn't happened as of yet so fingers crossed. Regards Tees
  9. I have a mammoth sports pathy 2007 which i believe has the Bose sound system with all speakers running of a amplifier...now after reading i believe the speakers are all 2 ohms and the amplifier is a set spec and power.....After reading there is not much that can be done apart from installing 2 ohm replacement size speakers.... Is there any advantage to having 4 ohm over 2 ohm speakers? does a replacement Bose or other make amplifier exist that can replace the lets say standard 200 watt amplifier that's in there.....so unscrew and unplug Bose 200 watt 2 ohm amplifier and re screw new 800 watt 4 ohm amplifier in its place and plug connectors..... kinda plug and play replacement 800 watt and then just upgrade speakers to 4 ohm jbl's kappas or what ever matching sizes? wishful thinking? i am sure if that was the case and so easy, china or some after market company would be on to this making these replacement amplifiers so i am quite sure its not as easy as that???? is it possible to remove standard amplifier work out wiring snip connector add crimps and attach it to a after market amplifier and then replace speakers to go with it??? what would be better alternative? what would be a better option? to get decent sound and more bass? 1: replace amp and speakers 2: just replace speakers 3: rewire the whole damn thing and add amp and speakers 4: just live with it as its not worth it??? look forward to hearing from you pathy vets. Regards Tees
  10. with the second issue i noticed that when i let go of the break to give gas and it wouldn't move i put foot back on break and the break got stiffer and stiffer??
  11. Hi Guys Hows it going, i got a nissan pathfinder mammoth sports 2.5 td 2007 and have noticed a few things which i will list below 1: When car goes to 60mph it starts vibrating the steering wheel 70 is less vibration and again at 80 it starts again...I got wheel balancing done which was quite out front 2 tyres and its smoothed things a bit but its still there...After searching online i come to a conclusion that it might be the u joints in the propt shaft...Is that the case??? 2: I noticed this happened twice today...when approaching lets say traffic lights and you come to a stop or lets say traffic and you come stationary then when i was about to set off i push accelerator and the car didn't want to move like the wheels were jammed or hand break was on???? so i quickly put it back to P and then back to D and it moved as normal...2nd time it happened i decide to give it more gas and it moved but like struggled the whole vehicle went down suspension wise like hand break was on but it wasn't, so took it out of D and then back in and it was okay again???? This one is scarring me a little. Anyone had this issue and what the problem could be? 3rd: I am hearing a lot about this radiator issue cracking and leaking into transmission and wrecking it so i went to check and my pathfinder seems to have 3 radiators one big one one smaller one in front at top with big air pipe seems like ac radiator and one underneath ac radiator at bottom in front of main radiator could this be transmission coolant radiator?? so i don't need to worry about this issue? and don't need to do a bypass?? Kind Regards Tees
