  1. New distributor didn't fix the issue either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. New cap and rotor didn't correct the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I pulled the cap last weekend and didn't notice an abundance of any dust/flakes present. It looked surprisingly clean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Checked the codes again, no code for a miss. There's a knock sensor code (which has been there awhile) and the VSS code. I guess I will order a cap and rotor to try those next. I haven't had the chance to ohm the wires yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'll try that at a different location today. The light is on, it's been on since the speedo quit working. I have been able to pull codes since then though. The no code issue is recent. The missing has only happened for roughly a week or so and it's sporadic. This morning, it didn't happen at all. The speedo/odo quick working at 165k miles. I'd say it probably has 170-172k on it now. I've owned it for 2 years since roughly 145k miles. I cleaned the maf, and connector the same day I did the plug change as well. I'm going to pick up a new fuel filter today when I go to have the codes checked again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. So a couple issues are going on with my Pathy that im not sure are connected but may be in some way. First, about 6-9~ months ago my speedometer quit after having the clutch replaced. I thought it was just the VSS in the tailhousing so I bought a new one and installed a few weeks ago, however that did not fix my speedo issue. Second, I have developed an intermittent miss that will sometimes begin at startup then sometime stop mid-drive. Other times it just keeps missing/studdering. The time in which is stops has varied from seconds to not stopping after 80~ miles. Other times it doesn't miss at all. Today, I went to have the codes read but the person said they weren't receiving any info from the OBD port. It was powering their device but not giving info. The reason I think these could possibly be connected is that through research I've determined that the VSS sends a signal to the dash/headunit, which then converts the signal and sends it to the pcm. I'm not sure if this is the same "computer" that provides the data to the OBD port. Could the pcm be causing an issue with the speedo and OBD? I went ahead and replaced the plugs today as well. The wires seem okay but I will ohm them out tomorrow. I don't think it would be the wires. I have heard of some people having to replace the distributor but would like to make sure before spending the $300~ on that. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. 7. I'm replacing the heater core on my daily driver 1996 Nissan Pathfinder. Is there any other items I should replace while I have the entire dash/interior out of the vehicle? And one of it at the top of Ophir Pass in Colorado.
  8. Awesome, I really appreciate it!
  9. Thanks for the quick response!
  10. Thank you for the heads up on the other two hubs as well as the upgrades! I would definitely want to source those elsewhere then! You wouldn't happen to have those part numbers handy, would you?
  11. Thank you for the input! It is my daily driver right now as it gets better mileage than my truck so it's mainly on paved roads. However on the weekend I'll go out shooting and camping, so it does go off road a little bit. I haven't tackled any trails where the front wheel would be off the ground yet. I seriously doubt the springs have been changed out in its life. I may go a little extra with the lift and spring for the kits. I was looking at doing the Warn manual locking hubs as well. What else should be needed with say the AC 2" lift that isn't included?
  12. Hello everyone, I'm looking for some advice regarding lifting my 1996 R50 Pathy. I have been scouring the forums, and internet in general, looking for a good option to lift the ole girl. Currently it is on stock suspension (obviously) with 31 inch tires and steelies. I'm looking to do a 2" lift/leveling out of the front end. So from what I have been reading it will be 2.5" front/2" rear. Here's my question... are the spacers offered by 4x4 Design a safe and legitimate alternative to say, the AC 2" or Old Man Emu 2" lift? Obviously the price, as well as the work involved, is attractive on the spacers. However, if it is in my best interest to spend a little extra money to get a better quality lift then I will do that. Picture because all threads should have them!
