  1. Anyone run the Alpine Scenic Byway from Silverton to Lake City, Colorado. I'm still playing with my stock 1993 Pathfinder, but I think I'd like to run it before the snow flies. If anyone has run it, any caveats? Lot's of fun roads it appears in the San Juans, I can't wait!
  2. Mine is a '93 SE automatic 4x4, with similar "taped electrical issues" LOL! Need a socket set to get the tire carrier removed, it's just bolted on to the rear passenger side body pillar. I'd bring pentrating oil, cause you want to get the hinges freed up before you remove it, mine were incredibly stiff at first. Be easier to do that while it's still attached to the vehicle. Get your drive train tended to first. We perhaps can share experiences getting things up to speed!
  3. Since I'm just figuring out the picture "thing" I'll try posting a few more. I love the swing-away tire rack in the back, going to install a 5 gal jerry can holder. Want to consider a 2" body lift so I can put on an ARB bull bar and winch for a Pathfinder Hardbody. Don't intent to change tire size, sticking with 31"
  4. Acquired my 1993 SE 4x4 from the original owner. Approx 282K miles, automatic, stock (for the present, soon to change! LOL!) Been well maintained for the most part, original engine, 2nd tranny, up till now just tending to annoying electrical problems. Runs fine, Just had front end repaired and two new tires, soon to get the other two replaced. Tune-up planned, not due for a timing belt yet, but probably will do this before next spring. More to come! This is my first Pathfinder, have had several friends in the Rockies that swear by them, hence my choice. I'm excited that even at this stage in my life I finally have a vehicle just to play with.
  5. Tsaile, Arizona. "Resort area" of the Navajo Nation, where 90% of the roads aren't paved, and at least half not even graded. For those geographically challenged, close to the Four Corners, at the head of Canyon de Chelly, in the Lukachukai Mountains. Pleased to meet you all!
