  1. That makes sense to why they included the switch, but yes it is pretty dumb as a momentary switch lol Ive notcied that the rear will kick out super easy, since i always pitch it sideways at my best friends house when i leave. And the last time in snow it scared me a little but I cruise for the most part because its better on gas. And safer. Also, i do need new tires in the rear since i switched them from the front, after my alignment destroid them...thanx for the help!
  2. Definitely got the larger tapered, outter tie rods. I didnt know they're were different sizes throughout 92 though. I looked up the part numbers and which ones were exact from O'reillys, but (of course) cheap replacement parts from china arent always to OEM spec, they were also the only ones they had...never the less, they work great and im satisfied.
  3. Welcome!! Great choice of vehicle, theyre super fun to drive and to work on. You'll need to eventually haha but everyone on here is awesome and are more than willing to give advice. Don't be afraid to ask! -AK
  4. Thanx for the advice. Ill check out the Garage/how to section. The reason why I wanted to replace them is because, I read a post on here that said they will sag over time (as mine did on the passenger side) and my initial thought was just replace everything so its all brand new. But if its better to reindex the bars and find out where im at, then that sounds like the better plan. and cheaper too. Ill get at it and find out what i need to do! Thanx again
  5. I would like to replace the torsion bars but what am i looking for? Sway aways' website has tons of sizes, add a torsion leaves, solid, tubular, spring plates and i have no idea what I'm looking at. Im new to the torsion bar life. Could i just replace certain parts and leave the stock bars? Should i just reindex the bars? Should i just replace everything? AHH! I'm lost. I need help my fellow WD21 enthusiasts!
  6. More work on Ol' Redd. This time was tie rods and poly sway bar end link bushings But wouldn't you know it? Yet more chineese replacement parts that dont fit! So rather than put the old ones back on and waste time finding others that fit.. we reamed out the hub and made it work. Lazy? Maybe, but my alignment was INCREDIBLY off and destroid my brand new tires so i figured, the hell with it. Now she drives straight, better turning radius, and no more tire scrub. Still need to reindex the torsion bars but for alignment purposes, we evened them out so she at least straight. Although it dropped the front. Now thats a hot rod. See those numbers on the window? Yea, i drag raced it. 5 times lol still making a short, funny video of the footage. You will get a kick out of it. Also got some new 6inch LED bars. They're tucked in the bumper very nicely. Gives it a factory look, plus they're super bright. Plenty more work to come. Thanx for looking.
  7. Thanx for the advice! I really like valvoline products and this will fur sure do the trick
  8. You were right!! It is indeed a clutch interlock. It's located on the dash, right side of the steering wheel, below the indicator light with the 4x4 drivetrain logo. IT's pretty useless though since the button doesnt lock into place. I have to hold the button down with my right hand and turn it over with my left hand...not excatly handy. Idk if that was a factory option or something but its dumb lol And thank you, i will be chaning my LSD fluid this weekend. Bout that time
  9. Is it best to just add fluid, or drain it and add all new gear oil? Never had a LSD before. Also on another note, i have a switch on my dash that says "inter lock", is this an E-locker? any special care needed, when servicing, because of this? Thanx in advance for the help!!
  10. This seems like the easier way to pump up the motor, except the fact my header bolts broke off into the head..but none the less, definitely going to perform the suggested tune up. You have a 3.0 in yours or 3.3?
  11. Welcome to NPORA! Dont be afraid to ask anyone for adivce. Everyone is pretty awesome on this forum.
  12. It's happened before!! Luckily my window was down.
  13. Yup, my locks do exactly that. Bumps, off roading ect they go off. Thank you very much. Your advice has been most helpful.
  14. Welp, then I'll put it on the list. Because its pretty annoying how it auto locks. Although, now im used to it and its kinda nice lol
  15. Thank you for the input. I'll replace the door switch but i might keep the alarm system. Is there a way to get a new key fob? is it worth it?
  16. In my rig, when the last door is closed, all the doors lock. (i learned not to forget the keys on the seat) I've never dealt with a vehicle that does this. Anyone elses' Pathfinder do the same? Very stumped...
  17. I just replaced the entire control arm and put the new poly bushings in last night. Getting new ones is the way to go. So much easier
  18. I'm interested in a vg33 swap in my wd21 as well so I cant wait to see how you like it. I've heard its the way to go for some more power.
  19. Puttin' in the work on my Pathfinder. Finished the upper control arms, as well as pressing in new polyurethane bushings. So it began... Out with the old, in with the new. Those original control arms had long hard lives. 23 years of dirt, snow and mud. Thanx for the support boys, but these MevoTech control arms from RockAuto.com, with Energy Suspension poly bushings, are gonna take it from here. A BIT OF CAUTION! (if you wanted to pick these up) These chinese replica arms didnt fit 100% to the frame. The bolt holes were SLIGHTLY off but a little bit of love from the die grinder did the trick. Think i had about 75k miles left on this ball joint...NOT! It took an air hammer and pickle fork to get this little punk out. All in all, about a 3 1/2 job. Old bolts put up a fight, as well as figuring out the new parts arent 100% perfect make it a little difficult, but thats the fun in wrenching on older rides. Ride quality: excatly what i wanted. Stiffer and more agile. Next is poly sway bar bushings, new tie rods, new lower control arms, torsion bars and the front suspension will be done. Then it will be on to the rear. All in due time. Stay tuned and thanx for taking a look!
  20. Awesome! Im hoping i can prevent the noise factor by lubing the hell out of it. We'll see how it goes.
  21. Nice, I thought that was what you meant. The bushing kit came with those as well, but thank you for the tip.
  22. definitely going the drive theater this weekend see mad max. date night with truck? duh. she wont talk during the movie.

  23. Thanx I will! I love working on my truck. What do you mean by, front lower arm rear mount? The lower control arm?
  24. Idk the part # but I picked them up on rockauto.com here's the link; https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=60661&cc=1211926&jnid=455&jpid=49 They're awesome, the only issue was clearance on the driver side. The coil BARLEY misses the exhaust but nothing a little hammering cant take care of.
  25. So since I bought my Pathfinder, i started a to do list and i have been checking them off lately. Most have been little things (painting/plasti dipping parts, switches, rear hatch lock, electrical etc.) and some bigger (starter, brakes, etc.) but this weekend i started my suspension to fix my alignment. First thing i did, shocks. Rides 100x better than before! Gabriel performance handling gas shocks (got a little crazy with the wd40) and Monroe load bearing coil over gas shocks. Goodbye body roll! next is new control arms, with polyurethane bushings, as well as poly sway bar bushings, front and rear. Stay tuned!
