  1. Thanks to everyone for the reply's! I had no idea it was gonna require a special bulb... I guess I'll try to get into it next weekend and hopefully get those bulbs out!
  2. Thanks! I may or may not have time to do another tear down this weekend, but when I do I'll be sure to post my results! And hopefully some pictures...
  3. Just a few questions. Recently my bulb behind all my climate controls went out so now only the green bulbs for the actual switches light up. It's not a huge pain (since I have all the different settings memorized ), but it's still a pain, especially when someone else wants to adjust them at night. I did see the bulb flash back on at one point very briefly maybe a few months ago, but besides that I haven't seen them on in a pretty long time. Does this mean I need to change the bulb, or is there maybe just a loose wire somewhere? Everything works besides the bulb, so I'm guessing it's the bulb rather than a connection issue. I've looked all over the forums here but I haven't found a thread for the climate controls I have. My climate controls look like this (this isn't my rig, but these are the same as what's in mine only flipped since this looks like it's a right hand drive WD21): If this has been posted elsewhere and I just haven't seen it please go easy on me... I swear I can only get the search to search what I actually want like half the time! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
  4. Found the brackets as soon as I looked closer. Leak is fixed, at least for the time being. Thanks everyone.
  5. Mine recently started doing it so bad that it's unbearable to drive. I guess karma's a bitch sometimes considering I just made fun of this issue not long ago lol. So I've located the leak, it's the rubber fitting between the two fuel rails towards the front of the engine. I've seen people "tightening the clamps," but I don't know how that's done. Could someone explain that to me please? It would be greatly appreciated!
  6. You're not alone. I get this all the time! I've almost accepted it as being part of the WD21 experience lol
  7. Alright I will probably be doing this later tonight then! Thanks!
  8. My apologies for the delayed response, as far as the brake fluid leakage goes, I still haven't tracked that down. On the other hand, I have identified the liquid that is currently leaking as Automatic Transmission fluid. I checked my AT fluid levels the other day and I was not even to the "cold" marker on the dip stick. My thoughts is that the fluid is obviously running through the system, into the transmission fluid radiator, and that the radiator has a small leak somewhere which is causing the leak. Does this sound plausible?
  9. Has it repeated this problem since? I remember mine doing this years ago and I put contact grease on the relays and it stopped.
  10. I've been doing a good job (in my opinion) of monitoring the level of brake fluid, but I do think that the level is slowly dropping again. And as far as the rear drums go, I recently took her in to get new brakes and they didn't notice anything then, so I'm guessing that makes that possibility a bit less likely?
  11. I will definitely be doing this once I'm home. So just put some rags or paper towels under the front of the truck and put her in neutral?
  12. I honestly can't tell if it's even the brake fluid now. I'm now between that, power steering fluid, and radiator fluid.
  13. Alright so by now I feel like the majority of people know me as the "my Pathfinder's falling apart can you help me fix it" guy, but I seriously could use some insight from proper mechanics/Pathfinder veterans... So recently I had to refill my brake fluid as I noticed the brake light came on. That was about 6 weeks ago or so, and now a week ago it came on again, so I refilled it again. I had a feeling that something may be wrong, but today was the day that proved my hunch was probably right. It looks like wherever its leaking is allowing the fluid to run down the tow hook, and then it drips off of that. You guys are the smart ones. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  14. Update: checked under the hood and made sure all the wires were fully plugged in. They all seemed okay, but it's now been 2 days since she's shown an issue so it's very odd... I'll keep reporting back when I find something new!
  15. Hopefully I don't sound too senseless when I ask this, but by "sensor connectors" you mean the wires that are located on top and around the engine correct? I just want to make sure I don't miss any spots haha!
  16. Whelp she's very inconsistent on showing this issue so I guess I'll keep an eye out for it and report back when I've got something more solid. Thanks everyone!
  17. @adamzan Haha, good one! As for everything else, so far the only two times it's done it is when it's going from 20-60MPH (getting on the freeway.) Does that rule anything out?
  18. Alright I'll check into some of those things tomorrow if I have time. Thanks everyone.
  19. Also I should mention she's got roughly 310,000 miles, but the rebuilt tranny only has about 40,000-50,000 and the rebuilt engine should only have 30,000-40,000 miles.
  20. So I just tried to get on the freeway and my Pathy started shaking for some reason. I'm guessing it has something to do with the transmission, but I'm not sure. The RPM's stayed consistent at about 2200 going roughly 60MPH, but it felt like it became harder to accelerate. I didn't fully push down the accelerator at that point though, considering I was scared that it might blow apart lmao Any ideas on what this might be? Thank you so much.
  21. Sorry I never even saw that "titles only" option. This is a huge help though! Thank you!
  22. So I'm not sure if its been talked about on here before but I'm interested in putting a CB antenna on my Pathy! I'm wondering if anyone's done it before, and if so what you did (such as the type of mounting bracket, where you routed the wiring, ect.) I'd prefer not to drill holes on the outer body, but I'm all ears to hear what people have done! Thanks!
  23. My Pathfinders fuel gauge has been getting somewhat inaccurate every time it drops below half a tank. I'm talking showing that there's half a tank of gas, going somewhere and turning it off, getting back in and turning it on and having it show that there's barely a quarter of a tank. How big of a repair am I looking at here? Thanks!
  24. Thank you so much for everyone's responses! I'm glad to hear that this isn't normal, but at the same time that just means one more thing for me to look into... Well she's going in bright and early tomorrow morning for new brakes and to get everything realigned, so I'll look into the problem later this week! Thanks again everybody!
  25. Here is the finished product! Perfect and like new again! And yes I know this post is extremely overdue... but I'm just happy that everything worked out. Also for anyone ordering this part in the future, this piece is technically called a gasket, rather than the seal itself.
