  1. From previous readings, would that mean pulling the steering wheel?
  2. Good Morning, folks! I have an interesting problem with the cruise control on my 1994 Pathfinder. It actually does work, but the only button on the steering wheel that does work is the "Set" button and the "Cancel" button. Any reason why the the Decel and Accel button would not work?
  3. Sorry for the delay in responding. I have been on vacation for the last 9 days, camping on the Sante fe River. As far as how....they ran off the edge of the road a bit and then overcorrected it too hard. Once in the ditch, it was wet and muddy and away they went.
  4. They both walked away with bumps and bruises. It rolled three times. Quite blessed and made me like Pathfinder even better.
  5. Here are some photos of the 1993 I had. It was rolled over last September by my boys.
  6. Ill post some of the one my kids rolled in a bit.
  7. Finally took some pics of the Pathfinder this morning. Take a look!
  8. When he called me and offered, I had to be sure I didn't seem TOO eager. I loved '93 that I had, which I bought from a buddy who was along time Nissan mechanic. (Which is the same place the current one comes from). Being friends with him and being a previous owner made me realize there couldn't be much wrong with it. I will get a look at the fusable links and the ground to the battery this weekend. My 93 had the fusible links removed and all was wire directly to battery. Is that acceptable? Transimission fluid is nice and red with no smell, so it could just be getting old. Have already started researching tranny coolers. (The 93 was a manual, which I miss!) Timing belt I am unsure of, so that is the first large ticket item. The gas mileage is the one I am targeting right now. Hope to post pics tonight!
  9. Thanks, bushnut! The starting/stalling issue baffled me for about two weeks...then I realized that every time I used my jump box on it, it would start perfectly. So I finally took a look at the battery and seen how small it was. Seemed odd to me that it mostly took care of the issue, but after thinking about it, I guess the small battery just couldn't supply the juice needed once it came to stop? I haven't hand checked the mileage yet, but I'm only getting about 80-100 miles to a half tank...my '93 would get 150-160 to half tank, so I know something is up. Thanks for the welcome!
  10. Been a long time lurker and happy to finally join. I have recently become owner of my second Pathfinder, this one a 1994 Pathfinder 4x4. The first one, a 1993 Pathfinder was rolled by my children last September (they walked away from the accident unscathed). This one was given to me by a friend who was tired of issues he was having with it. He is also not mechanically inclined and he is cheap. When I got it, it would start intermittently and would stall at a stop for seemingly no reason. The sunroof leaked, AC didn't work and the handling was terrible. So he GAVE it to me, which I was happy to take. Replaced the cheap 450 CCA battery in it with a 750 CCA battery, which seemed to take care of the stalling issue. The starting issues is much improved since replacing the battery, but will still do do on occasion. The draintubes for the sunroof were clogged, so I cleaned them and it no longer leaks. Charged the AC system and has had cold AC for almost two weeks. He has mismatched tires on the truck, along with warped tread on tire. Replaced all 4 and drives decent. Tie rod ends need to be replaced. Anyway, I though I would share the awesome story on how I got this great looking truck. Has a ton of miles (220K+), an auto tranny (UGH), which seems to be shifting late, but for free I can deal and afford to put money into it. It gets terrible gas mileage right now, about to replace fuel filter, sprak plugs and clean the MAF. If there is anything else let me know! Will post a pic tonight, but wanted to thank everyone who contributes to the site as I have learned ALOT of information over the last couple of years from it. Thanks! Cory
