  1. Thanks for the response. I just realized my error. I was looking at almost two identical rims except one was a -6 offset and the other was a -44. I thought I ordered the -44 offset 17X8 but got the -6. Looking at the rim now even with the 1.5" spacer I don't think it will clear the strut and I will need to exchange the rims for the -44 offset.
  2. I am having a little trouble matching tires and rims to clear my strut and need help!!!!! I already have 285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratac's in excellent shape. As well as 17X8 with 4.25' BS Pro Comp rims, and 1.5" spacers have been ordered. The more I dig into it I feel like these aren't going to fit? I have a 4" subframe drop installed as well. HELP!!!!
  3. Ya thats what I was reading. I might try and get a smaller width tire as well. Thanks.
  4. I recently bought used 285/70/17's and bough some steel 17" rims. I am new to the tire/wheel stuff and didn't even think about the offset. When I went to get them installed they told me I would need a 2 1/2"-3" wheel spacer. Anyone have wheel spacers on that large?
  5. I live in Gibbons, Alberta which is north of the city about 30 minutes. Have a 2003 Pathy SE Black. Have been doing a lot of my own work to her. Just about to install Andrews KRFABS 4" SFD along with some new rims and tires. You will probably see me as I am always in St. Albert and Namao area.

  7. Hello everyone, I have browsed this fourm for years but never signed up. I have a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder SE with 230,000KM on her. I bought her used in 2009 and have always wanted to lift her. So far she has ran great. Only needed a new oil pan, throttle body, and front coils. Other then that she has been good to go. I have installed a K&N Air intake, new rotors, pads, wheel bearings, and stab bar links last summer. As we speak I am installing new CV's, ball joints, and inner/outer tie rods. I have new struts, rear shocks, rear coils coming in from the states and pick up my KRFABS 4" SFD tomorrow. I hope to have her installed before or after I get back from a work trip. New tires and rims to follow the installation of the kit as well as a bunch of other mods. I will post before and after pics once she is all done up. This fourm has a ton of knowledge and excellent post I plan on using to teach my self what I don't know! Thanks! Adam
  8. I have had the same issue several times. Both times I removed heat shields. I had a friend help me by rev'n the engine and I could hone in on the exact spot right away.
  9. Morning everyone, I have a few quick questions that I am having some trouble with. I am installing new CV's, ball joints, and inner/outer tie rods in my 2003 Pathy. After getting everything apart and I was starting to installing the new parts I noticed my Inner Drive Shaft Oil Seal (Part #40533) was old, worn, and is broken, as well the Drive Shaft Bearing (Part #40588) is very old and looks like they need to be replaced. I recently replaced the outer wheel bearings and would like to do the same with my inners. My question is are the inner wheel bearings for the Drive Shaft press fitted in the Steering Knucle? Would I be able to remove them and the seal with a punch etc? And if they don't need to be press fitted how would you go about getting them back into the Steering Knuckle. Thanks! I used this link I found to get the info on the parts and figure out the proper names. http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-r50-1996-2004/genuine-nissan-parts/axle-suspension/400-front-axle/-c-4700_4701_4800_4801.html
