1. Yep. Has a full size 35" spare tire on it right now.

I'm going to have to drill out the riv nuts and somehow thread in the bracket I just cut out of my old rig. Not going to be an easy task that's for sure..

I could also fab up another bracket , but again Im not sure how the riv nut will hold the bracket without me actually installing it in the piece I mock up, which is going to be more difficult I'd assume than trying to just fish this piece back there and thread the bolt a couple turns60f7d342f50e676a511ce9ed0ea1fbb8.jpg07e77e4de7e33ec90099729d886556c4.jpg

  2. Hey everyone, hopefully everyone is still around on this thread. I bought 01 silvas path from him and I'm having a bit trouble from the quarter panel warping. I know he has some support behind it but it seems like not strong enough. I have my old rig which has an oem carrier with the supports. So I cut that out this weekend and plan to try to make it work this coming weekend. I never worked with rivnuts so I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to attach the pem support to it. If anyone has any suggestions that'd be greatly appreciated.

Also the Oem support has welded nuts on the back which I'm trying to decide if I should cut those off. I attached some photos as a reference 7694e0f4d8e39be93ae3e6bb1b8248c8.jpg6db6fce08910f56c93bbece43d65ea8a.jpg5138659857b26395ab247710b7e9b9e1.jpg

  3. Yikes, that’s a lot scarier looking than mine was for sure. Can you get any more pictures of the whole support and especially the frame ends by the tow hooks? If there is still solid metal on either end to weld to then it is still pretty easily fixable. If not, you could be looking at a bigger job. Also have you looked up in the front wheel wells by the strut mounts for rust?

Yeah those have been welded already , it just this section now . I have a video but have no idea how to upload it here. I’ll take some more photos for you a little later

  4. Even though the truck was largely rust free, for whatever reason the lower radiator support had a strange amount of rust on it even though everything else on the undercarriage is nice and clean. I knew that when I bought it, but it wasn’t an emergency so I left it alone for the first year until I got some time to tackle it. c1f382d2c8f856cefd88acbc2af6c3f7.jpgThis is looking up from the bottom of the rad support, and the pic was taken about halfway through the repair so some of the rust holes are already covered up. I used two pieces of angle iron to box in the bottom of the rad support and strengthen it back up.

With this reinforcement this section is now much thicker and I think stronger than stock.

This is exactly what i’ve been looking for . My support looks more horrible than yours and i’ve been trying to figure out a way to fix it myself before taking it to a shop. Everything is pretty much flaky and crusty extremely nervous about trying to clean it up . b82781596eee187667b5c9fd3dfe0169.jpg

And while this MOST CERTAINLY counts as an epic mud pic, sorry NIssanBoston, but you already won once this year!  As such, you are not eligible for TotM December.  I can add this pic to the post dedicated to you in the 2018 TotM Winners thread if you'd like though, as we discussed on Instagram.

  6. Such sick pics, and to top it off that battle scar is awesome haha

Walker Valley ORV area run this weekend. Best wheeling trip Ive had yet. Amazing trails, scenery and gate keepers stop all full size rigs from coming in and tearing the place up. Procrastinated on making sliders and paid the price. Oh well. Considering what we went through to only come out with a smashed door and rocker was amazing. Had too much fun. Totally worth it. Im blown away by the capability of these rigs every time I head out.
