  1. Decided not to sell my 95, even after 2 offers of $800-$1000 with no transmission. I love my pathy...I just can't do it. Now I'm going looking for transmission #4 Sent from my LGMS323 using Tapatalk
  2. Fun fun fun Sent from my LGMS323 using Tapatalk
  3. Went to Pick n Pull Again!!! Helped Jim get tranny #3 for Patti the Pathfinder. Got one out of an Infinity cuz there wasn't any Nissans. Pray for Patti and I plz My husband is trying to get me to sell her Sent from my LGMS323 using Tapatalk
  4. Thank you very much for the advice. I appreciate it Sent from my LGMS323 using Tapatalk
  5. Well Today, we finished putting in Pick n Pull Tranny #2 in Patti the 95 Pathfinder. GRRR... I need my TRUCK!!! The transmission was no good Good thing we bought the warranty... BUT...Pick n Pull has started moving the Pathfinders over to the Premier side so if I don't find one soon I'm going to have to either buy a $300 membership to premier or rent a UHAUL so I can go to San Jose to get one. I'm getting desperate....so I started researching. I found a Transmission Exchange site that said the following 4WD's have the same transmission. Here is what they listed. Can anyone verify that this is true??? If so, then I have a LOT more choices, but I need to make sure because I am paying for to have the work done too and running pretty empty here. HEEELLLPPPP!!! 6. GRRR.... I am now getting ready to pay my faithful mechanic to put #3 in my beloved 95 Pathfinder ( her name is Patti, by the way) Here is what I was able to find on the transmission exchange. These are all 4X4 models, so if plug and go is correct then any of these should work?? Pick n Pull has started moving the Pathfinders to the Premier Side and I paid an extra $30 for a 1 year warranty. I need to find and get the tranny in quick so I can make sure it's good before I have to buy a Premier Membership at approx $300. Seriously, I'm not sure my pockets can go much deeper here HEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!! Definitely feeling like a Damsel in Distress!!! Can anyone verify that what I found here is true??? It sure would give me a LOT more choices Automatic Transmission Application Guide www.txexchange.com 1/18/16 Model Years Transmission Type Engine Type/Size Transmission Model QX4 97-03 4 SP 4X4 V6 3.3L 3.5L RE4R01A INFINITY PICKUP 90-934 SP 4X4L4 2.6LR4A-EL RE4R01A MAZDA FRONTIER 99-04 4 SP RWD/4X4 V6 3.3L RE4R01A NISSAN FRONTIER 98-04 4 SP RWD L4 2.4L RL4R01A NISSAN PICKUP/PATHFINDER 88-98 4 SP 4X4 V6 3.0/3.3L RE4R01A NISSAN XTERRA 00-04 4 SP RWD/4X4 V6 3.3L RE4R01A NISSAN
  7. Well It's been over a month now since I burned up my tranny in Patti, she's my 95 Pathfinder, running around on the levy. Never ever trust soft dirt, just climb the hill, trust me lol I've painfully tried to be patient as my buddy Jim changed out the transmission. The poor guy...he's not real big on patience anyway. It took two days at pick-n-pull to pull one. By the way, there is at least 6 perfectly good Pathfinder just in Stockton, Ca alone if you need parts. We, well he, finally found the 4 hidden bolts on day 2 and we were able to give Patti her transplant. I knew where the bolts were because of the awesome links in this forum that led me to a really good service and repair manual plus the supplement for free, but I'm just a girl, so mechanics and husbands get bored listening to me...lol I pulled door sensors, relays, lightbulbs, and weather stripping for $18 out the door, while he finished up. My truck sat in the drive way for the next 3 weeks getting what we hoped would be a good tranny installed. Patti and I were both a little stir crazy by the end but we made it finally. I pulled the entire center consul, seats, radio, and visors in the front and cleaned them up while we waited to see if the transplant took. I am happy to say that the tranny was good and Patti is shifting just fine again, she has more power than before, so .....I'm awfully glad. I paid the $250 to Jim up front cuz 3 weeks is way too long to get the tranny replaced, again, just this girl's opinion. I now still have what looks like a cable that is hanging underneath it all to hook back up. My front end is sitting way to low to be right, something sounds like a high pitch grinding from the mid/front section underneath that I need to find and fix. Belts, hoses, and spark plugs and wires to replace to be road ready. Thanks to all of you here in the forum, in the garage. Nicoclub freebies and pic-n-pull, and the awesomenessof the repair manual, I'm pretty sure Patti and I will be ready to hit the dirt by next week. I'm really looking to some quality time in my Pathfinder and I need to go get a Christmas tree. I will be going back to puck-n-pul often to replace cosmetic pieces and pull parts that I don't want to buy new from the bounty of Pathfinders there. I will also post what years and models are there in case anyone else here needs or wants parts that they can't get in their own area. I also visit family in Modesto, ca quite often so I will go hunt there as well to see what their selection looks like. I have 259k on this engine and it's strong, never leaks, never gets hot, and rarely goes through fluid. Now that the transmission had been replaced I'm willing to put $$ on the idea that I can look forward to at least another 100-200k miles on Patti the Pathfinder in the future.
  8. Learned how to bypass my starter relay with a paper clip :-) I went to pull a minivan out of some mud and ummnn...yeah my 95 had NOTHIN....lol a click not a crank not a kiss goodbye, nothin... So I walked home from the levy and found a YouTube. It was a jeep but it looked close enough so I tried it :-) Patti is home just dirty as the back 40 and in need of yet more repairs and maintenance but she got me back home Sent from my SGH-T599N using Tapatalk
  9. Sure does!!! What did you use to clean it up so nicely?
  10. That may be something that I may end up having to replace. I'm still in the troubleshooting phase after burying the front passenger tire -deep in soft dirt on the levy and spinning and digging out 3x's. I'm hoping it was just the fail-safe from the AT Control unit but also could be the timing belts on 95 4wd,from what I have read now. But just in case...how expensive were silonoids? Is that something that I can replace myself or do I realllly a shop for yhat? This is my only driver so I'm on a mission!!!
  11. Wow!!! This forum and it's members are amazing I just downloaded a repair manual, way better than chilton could charge for, a service manual, diagrams ....ect. I could basically learn how to rebuild my entire Pathfinder from this stuff. I am headed in to find the tranny cooler, shifter cable/linkage/arm, and off to use the troubleshooter that I ran across to start narrowing everything down so I can get mobile again. I think I better get some GOJO and a pair gloves, cuz I JUST did my nails. Thanks Friends...tty soon
  12. I also have worn belts so I will replace belts, check hoses, and change the plugs and wires if she can be saved :-)
