  1. http://www.4x4parts.com/i-18980130-pathfinder-aluminum-front-bullbar.html- there's also this option if you are looking for something upgraded from the original bumper.
  2. I had the same problem some of you were having getting my keyless entry into programming mode. No matter what I did I couldn't get the lights to flash. Skip forward a couple years to today, I was checking fluid levels under the hood before a road trip and saw the control box on the drivers side that said Keyless Entry on it, and thought maybe I should take a quick look under the panel. Everything looked OK - the brown box was where it should be. I tried to remove it but only got it part way and didn't want to force it and risk damage so I just stuck it back into place. It felt like it reseated so I hopped back in the drivers seat, locked the doors, stuck the key in and out, in and out, and right when I was about to give up for the last time it flashed. I turned to aux, hit a button on the keychain and I NOW HAVE WORKING KEYLESS ENTRY!!! I'm pretty excited.
  3. I figured out that it's the smart entry control module. I don't get the ringing noise when I have my headlights on, door open or key in the ignition either. Looks like I'm in for a project...
  4. Model: x32a1 fccid: x32a ic:8797a-a purchased from iKeyless.com specific to the '98 r50. The main issue isn't the fob as far as I can tell. After sticking the key in and out of the ignition I can't get the lights to flash to go to the next step. When I first started trying it did flash one time, but I haven't been able to get it to again. I'm hoping there is some other way to get it into programming mode.
  5. I hate to be the guy to revive a zombie thread but here it goes. I'm trying to program a RKE on a 1998 SE and can't get into the programming mode. I've tried a bunch of times and only once did I get the lights to flash, but then it didn't seem to take with the remote. Now every time I try sticking the key in and out of the ignition I get nowhere - no lights flashing. Is there a trick to the timing or some other way to get this done?
  6. Great choice. I also just got a 98 SE yesterday. Found one that was a 1 owner trade in with 170k miles but in great shape. Doesn't look like it's ever been off road. Can't wait to fix it up and get it dirty!
