  1. What are you trying to do with the rear control arms? Replace them, or just the bushings?

Yes, they are fairly gutless; 2+ tons and 150hp/180ftlbs torque. The only reason they move at all is gearing, but then they weren't built to win races either.

Yes, you can swap in some other VG motors, but IIRC the z31 version has different heads and is too wide to fit without modifications (verify that, the info is here). If you want more power, make sure your motor is tuned properly, is in good shape, install aftermarket air filter and exhaust system with headers and that is about as good as it gets without swapping motors.

If you swap motors, go straight to the VG33 with 170hp/200ftlbs torque. That motor coupled with good intake, exhaust and VH30 cams (more aggressive) will net higher numbers, and then there is the option to build a vg34 (again, info is here).

Honestly, my stock 1995 VG30 with headers/exhaust and 31" tires is fine for me unless I'm loaded and in high altitude, which is rare. It is a tough little 4x4, I don't expect it to light up the tires or post numbers in the 1/4 mile...

I light up the tires.

    (I'm sorry I couldn't resist.)

  2. What's wrong with them? Maybe I can help out a little.

Jeep cracked its starter, so thats just a money issue.

My dad's 3.3 wd21 won't idle and barely starts, seems like it might be fuel related but I don't know enough to figure it out.

  3. [Nissan Motorsports we added a set of their #2 off road cams to Project Pathfinder. The cams have 264 degrees of duration and .430]

Anybody know where or how to find these i searched online and got jack

When we bought it, they told us the #2 cams were still in the Nissan Motorsports inventory.

That was a while ago, they may not carry them anymore.

  4. VG 33, cams, pistons, intake, exhaust, a bit of boring.

Mine's pretty torquey. Used to be that if the snow got up to my bumper I was stuck. Now I just lay on the pedal and tear through it.

Of course my mpg goes down real quick.

  5. Try searching the forum on electric fan stuff. There are a lot fo great write ups, and with the right fan and a properly functioning cooling system you should have no problems. You should also read up on keeping the autotragic transmission happy, theres some reccomendations on trans coolers.

I personally know forum member theexbrit is running an efan on his r50. His rig has stayed cool in places where mine nearly overheated with the bored out 3.3 and other goodies.

If you can find them, I reccomend the Thourley headers (spelling?). I love them.

  6. I don't know if it would touch the ground, I was trying to tease more than anything else.

Depends on the limits of the suspension.

I do know that depending on the length of the current brake lines, they could be too short.

They were never designed to be used with the sway bar removed. They may work but should be checked first.
