Hi, it's been a while without posting here. Recently it rains 2 weeks here and I got a problem. When trying to start, the engine goes to about 1100RPM, then smoothly down to 0. Is it the idle air control valve problem?
-
wow...that's cool
-
central diff locked, front axle locked, rear axle locked, if 3 wheels are freely spinning, the last wheel would take 100% of engine torque Is it true? I thought it is 25% only
-
that looks awesome, put this in my to-do list..

Dear fleurys, I try to contact GMB taiwan for the u-joint but seems not available here. http://www.carid.com/2003-infiniti-qx4-driveline-axles/item-7897565.html Now I'm going to find cross reference. Do you have diemnsions and diameters of this u-joint?

Hi, I remove the shaft 1 hour ago and the ticking noise never happens again. So what should I replace exactly? The bearings only?
-
Thanks to all of you. Is any risk to drive without front propeller shaft? I'm going to do as fluery said. Bruce sent from taiwan
-
Yes! You are exactly right. However, from page 4 of the PDF, which is the u_joint? Also, I don't think mine is adjustable. What is the purpose to have adjustment? In fact I never see Infiniti Taiwan give grease into front propeller shaft. Bruce sent from taiwan

The noise is like clock ticking. Bruce sent from taiwan

Hi, I'm sorry to have a post in wrong section. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/39345-front-propeller-shaft/?do=findComment&comment=742181 This should be in the R50 area. Whom could I ask help to move it or delete it? Thank you very much. Bruce

Dear all, i'm facing a weired problem now, it's noise from car bottom, louder with car speed. I went back to Infiniti Taiwan, the mechanician told might be front propeller shaft issue. There is unusual tolerance. So far I have 3 ways to do 1. close window while driving pretend nothing woring 2. warn manual hub 3. replace whole shaft, infiniti quotes about US$800. Mine is 2001 QX4. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/QX4/2001%20QX4/Propeller%20Shaft%20&%20Differential%20Carrier.pdf Need your opinions on it, thanks.

Hi All, I changed my generator 2 days ago and the technian told 6PR should run at least 40psi and 10PR needs 50psi, in order to protect the steel layout. The other result form Google is 80% of the max cold pressure. For instance, my AT has max load with 80psi cold, so it's better to put 64psi. Any commets?
