  1. Next time I have the dash out (soon) I'll take some pictures and try to do a write up on the Auto AC swap. I'll get some pictures of my pathy up soon too. I need to get the wheel bearings done soon and I think that even if I could repack I'd probably rather replace them. I've done a few quick searches around the forum and found different posts about how it's less than a hundred dollars if you do it yourself, that the bearings don't last much longer than 100 thousand miles if they haven't been maintained, seen the different write ups on repacking, and read that play at the bearings wont cause cupping? I've ordered the tool and I already have a torque wrench handy. I just need to order the parts. It's the inner bearing, outer bearing, races, and seal? Anything else? I'm also unsure as to which brand bearing to go with. OEM? If someone who has done this before could help me with part numbers (or a list specifically of what I need) on rock auto or if anyone has better vendor suggestions and can hook me up with a link I would greatly appreciate you making life that much simpler for me. I just want to replace for the sake of replacing and knowing they're new. Thank you good sirs.
  2. I own a '93 Pathfinder in blue/blue. 15x,xxx miles. Bought it back in September last year. Absolute rock bottom base model with not a thing on it. Payed 1800 for it because it was extremely clean. Not a hint of rust on the body and none on the outside of the frame. Just barely any on the inside of the frame over the rear tires - not even enough to start sloughing. Has the usual manifold leak. Dented rear bumper where PO backed into something. Couple of sexy dash cracks. Stock ride height. So far I've installed a complete AC system, the automatic climate control, oil filter relocation, air intake mod, hitch, a few vanity items such as map lights, spoiler, and misc missing interior parts. Also took care of the basics like cap, rotor, fuel filter, plugs, wires, vacuum lines, oil is and always has been mobil1. Few things planned for down the road: Going to add an xterra rack, oil temp, oil pressure, ASCD, finish the air intake with an apollo (unless someone suggests a nicer alternative), new A/T 31x10.5r15 tires, replace the centerlink (hoohaa or 2wd d21?), replace the idler arm with manual gear box. All that good stuff. Looking at replacing front bearings ASAP as my tires are cupping on the inside and the wheels have play when I jerk on them 12 and 6 o'. I'll need the part numbers for what I need to order. I don't see any movement in the ball joints. Most of my bushings are in good shape. Anyway, hello and thanks for being awesome. This place has been extremely useful. If I can't find it in the FSM I can find it here assuredly.
