  1. actually ... that is pretty disgusting ... but it works!
  2. i've personally always used that technique in any standard equiped vehicle ... and have never had a transmission problem whatsoever
  3. thats exactly how I see them ... the Pathfinder/Armada is the same way for me ...
  4. you painted your sunroof? heh ... i've heard it all ... lol
  5. yeah those wheels and tires should be fine ... and look pretty good too ... I personally thought that the flares you cut to fit were kinda cheesy ... and the factory flares didn't like the sun at all ... pathy's look great without flares tooo ...
  6. 3.5 will be a little much in my opinion for only a 31x10.5 ... I would go with 3.75 or even 4 inches which will look great, and will keep the rocks from flingin' up at your rig ...
  7. never seen a bent one myself ... except on rigs that got hit into the rear axel from the side ... also Ive never heard of a locker doing anything to a panhard rod as it doesn't exert force laterally across the axel ... I could see you bending a panhard rod if you side sliped your rig into an immovable object like a rock, deep ruts or the likes ...
  8. not really ... but if you were to pull the timing cover off, you could visually inspect the belt for cracks, wear marks, spilts or frays ... at any rate, it would be advisable to change it at regular intervals ... i'm not sure what the miles are for your rig ... but I believe that it is around 150K miles ...
  9. I'm not sure the differences between the lockers ... but I have never heard any complaints about either one of them ... as for the lincoln ... everybody knows how poorly the tires wear on the front ... ad a licoln locker and I think that it'll be a lot worse ... but it would be sweet for offroading for sure ...
  10. sure it doesn't have a pot swtich to tune the temperature that it turns on? a small phillips usually does the job... thats how mine was ... should be located right on the relay itself ...

    Engine Noise

I agree ... usually an indication of a poor break-in on a new engine ... hows the compression? ... would be worth a check as well for any possible cracks or broken rings ... oil pump could be a source of noise too ... take it to someone else or a shop and get a second opinion ....
  12. it will run fine, idle will be high, and wont smog worth a crap - but great power ... would be worth while to fit some headers and have the ECU programmed for BOTH the headers and the cams ... signifigant power gain, minimal fuel consumption - if there is such a thing with a Nissan ... be aware that the longblock that is in that rig, is from an 90 300ZX - it isn't worth swapping to a 95 ... its the SAME motor ... just so you know ... also the crank is the long style ... in other words the harmonic balancer and timing gear have independent key ways ... unlike the earlier style cranks ...
  13. lookin good man ... i'm kinda curious to see how those upper and lower links handle the torque ... maybe some gusseting might be in order? ... I guess it's kinda trial and error anyway ...
  14. change the computer? the only thing I can think of that would do that is a poor connection leading to the MAF sensor ... try wiggling the connection while you simulate the same conditions to see if it improves or not ...
