  1. does anyone have a picture of these. I just got some but I think they are not for my pathfinder. the rear left side has a notch and the rear right side does not. Only thing I can think the notch is for is maybe the gas door but it is too far away for it needed to be notched for that. Pictures for both sides of the rear Bushwacker extend-a-fender flares would be great if anyone has them. Thanks
  2. I have a remote start alarm on my 5 speed pathfinder. On my alarm you have to leave the engine running, then set the parking brake, then turn off the ignition.(vehicle still remains running) then open the drivers door, get out and close the door, at this point the engine shuts down and remote start will work for this point on. If you open the door remote strart becomes disabled and you will have to do this whole setup all over again in order to enable it again. I did all the wiring for it to work, Tested and made sure it worked, Never used it again. LOL
  3. wow these must me new. Looks like my cooper STT with added armor on the sidewalls. I know what my next tire will be. I cannot say enough about my STT. They are awesome. I went wheeling in the snow and everyone I went with got stuck at some point. I never even got close to stuck. They have taken a tone of abuse and have had some seriously sharp rocks take nicks at my tires. I bought them 5 years ago and they are still holding up. Mind you That I do not use them as a daily driver so I cannot speak for everyday treadwear. The are the best all around tire. They do ok in all offroad categories. They do better than my Mudd Brutes and they were a mud tire, However there are plenty better in the mud, just none as good in mud and in other category. They do clear the mud out of the tread easily. They are rock chuckers though. so anyone driving behind you will not be very happy. Americas tire is where I buy all my tires. They will meet any advertised price and one of the only place where you can haggle the price down. They have done better on rotations than Costco. (costco made me wait 2 hours and they still had not done the rotation)
  4. Have you made sure everything is connected to your interlock switch. especially if you have been pulling on wires behind the dash it may have came disconnected. Not sure if it can be the problem or not. I am not sure as I have permanently jumpered my clutch switch to allow my remote start alarm to work properly
  5. I am in Manteca, But I commute to San Carlos 5 days a week. If that counts. I missed the last wheeling trip to hollister. May want to post this in the Southwest states forum as I believe that is where we check for upcoming trips. Let me know when you set on a date.
  6. Make sure you use a the correct size fuel injector clamp, they will hold more even clamping force around the hose without digging into the hose.
  7. I at first thought this was an animal abuse thread, I had the same issue with my cat. I punched it out. I then bought a new one. I welded ball fittings to both the punched out cat and the new one. I will swap my new one in every 2 years for the emissions test, then swap the punched out one back in. I passed the first time and failed 2 years later. All the numbers from the test remained unchanged (put only 1000 miles on my pathfinder in those previous 2 years). California reduced the max emissions by 20%. I guess to try and get the older cars off the road. F you California.
  8. since is is so simple to replace the output shaft seal, you could just replace that and see if the leaking stops. I am a firm believer that if one is leaking the others are soon to follow, If it is not a major job to replace the output shaft then, I always say do the cheaper/ easier one first if it stops leaking your done. if it still leaks you then have to do the big job. Just my 2 cents for what its worth also just noticed you also have a drain plug in the vicinity that could be the culprit.
  9. I put in a centerforce clutch a week before I did the jungle trial at hollister. I did not drive it much except for the drive from Manteca to Hollister. The clutch was a bit grabbie for the trip there but it seemed to break in on the drive there. I have not had a problem with it still to this day. I would think as longs as you resurface the flywheel or replace it, clutch break in should go smoothly. You want to avoid overheating and glazing the flywheel before you wear the clutch linings to match the flywheel/pressure plate surfaces. Most of the time there is not much of a gap and this happens pretty quickly. If you buy a low quality clutch or have a improperly machine flywheel (or rusty/dirty) this will take longer.
  10. Btw, A body lift requires a lot of relocating and extending of fuel lines, ect. Would be a lot of work to do just for the easier access to the transmission only to put it back afterwords.
  11. Rebuild = removing old boots, removing old grease, cleaning any debris, checking for excess play within the joint, then re-greasing and putting on new boots. if they have excess play, are worn or clicking there done. Look for scoring, cracks, and discoloration in the Balls. BTW it has been said that Rockford boots are the most durable boots. I just bought cheap rock auto boots.
  12. Do this!.. Or you will be doing the job again if the rear main starts leaking. (I only replaced the round seal not the gaskets) I replaced my clutch. I did not do the rear main seal. less than 15,000 miles later I had a ruined clutch from a leaking rear main seal. I had to do it all over again with another new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. don't forget to replace the pilot bearing and the throw out bearing. those are all cheap parts compared with having to do the labor of pulling the transmission again. I would recommend dropping the transmission. while it can be done just sliding it back, It makes it a lot easier to replace the RMS and Pilot bearing having free access to the back of the engine.
  13. If you ever plan on a body lift. do it before the clutch. it will give you so much more room for almost everything.
  14. Pick up head lights and tail lights are a bit different. Pickup headlights I believe are completely square, whereas pathfinder headlights have a slanted corner in one corner. Tail lights on a pickup If I remember correctly have a different bolt pattern for the mounting holes. may be some other differences as well
  15. I agree with AndyC, stock is the most reliable. The aftermarket New, (rebuilt is a crap shoot) are good for on road. as soon as you go off road that is where the issues lie. The angles on the aftermarket new units are horrible and if you do not wear them in a bit before going to the extreme angles they will snap pretty quickly. I put some New china made half shafts in my 91 and broke them in for about 6 months before wheeling. The first time i did some serious wheeling I snapped one. I had saved and rebuilt (new boots and grease) the stock ones and put them on a shelf. I put my stock one in place of the broken new one and have not had any problems since. Now before anyone says they have great luck with there new china half shafts. Let me just say, I have a front Locker and with it locked it puts a ton more stress on the half shafts. so if you don't plan on a front locker those half shafts might work fine. The point was to make that the stock shafts are superior to the cheap after market.
  16. One thing I would suggest you guys put in your pack. A snake bite kit. It is basically a syringe with different size cups that go on the end. I Wheel in places where there are quite a few venomous snakes. Never know when your going to come across one of them. http://www.rei.com/product/407144/sawyer-extractor-pump-kit Always good to learn how to use this before you have to. You have to act fast for this to be effective.
  17. very often cv boots will rip (if not ripped already) shortly after a suspension lift. as the half shaft angles will change stretching the rubber from the boot differently from the stock position. the boots have been on there a while in the stock position and the rubber can be old and brittle. A lift stretches the old rubber in a new position and will generally tear within a few hundred miles after the lift. so keep an eye on them after the lift especially after a wheeling trip when you are running the suspension in its full range of motion.
  18. I have had heard quite a few people who had done the same thing. They have put some water pump sealant (rtv) on the end of the bolt and the threads. some have gone more than 100,000 miles with this repair. However since you already had the head off you did the right thing, As most of the hard work was already done. This way you know that you will not have any issues.
  19. Mine sometimes they unlock immediately after locking them. They have only done this immediately after i unlock them, They have yet to do this while driving or while parked. When They do I will have to tear apart the door panels and investigate. for them time being I do of course have to pay attention that they did not unlock after locking them
  20. Yes it is true that mud will promote rust. Even once it is dry on the outside it hold water against your truck where it is stuck. even once it is dry any bit of water will wick into the much and go to your truck. The longer water stays in contact with your truck the more chance of rust your going to get. this is probably more true with the frame than your finished metal. keep your truck clean to help keep it rust free. (some areas of the world it is impossible to keep it rust free)
  21. Have a look at this video and you may be able to see how they work and determine whats wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NK8zcZJif8
  22. ages ago, when I was living in Arizona when Saturn had an issue with the plastic pocket key that would fit every Saturn. There was a rash of Saturn thefts in my complex. After hearing about this, I would reach under the dash and pull the fuel pump relay when I got home every night. It took 2 secs. well sure enough 3 days later I came out to the car and it was moved back in the parking spot a couple of feet. The doors were unlock and most of my stuff was rummaged through. Turns out that that 2 secs paid off big time. They unlocked the door started the engine started to back out and the car ran out of fuel and stopped. That saved my butt big time. i am glad they found it. keep us updated in the condition of the vehicle and the parts that were stolen. we can then keep an eye out on craigslist for your parts and hopefully catch the bastard.

    smart TV

I am pretty sure it is the content provider, as I have comcast ISP. 34.77Mbps down and 11.24Mbps up I am also wired all the way to the playback device. I am really picky about quality I stopped watching dvd Because it is too low quality for me. (especially when you are displaying on a 10 foot diagonal projection screen.) That is why I prefer the download vs streaming.
