  1. Here is a sticker for a 94 SE Comparison: 1994 Prices Base 26,349 Off Rd. 750 Leather 1,255 AC 995 Dest. 380 94 Total Not including CA Emission: $29,729 95 Sticker total: $31,791 Wow! The base went up by $2,000 in 95. http://www.ozarkautos.com/htm/sold/94%20Pathfinder/0810022.jpg
  2. Is that street legal? That could cause serious damage. Looks good though!
  3. If anyone wants that cupholder, here is the best shot at it. Here is a link to Nissan dealers near Bangkock. Phone numbers on right column. Click on far left column for e-mail. We don't know with certainty if the cup holder will fit. http://www.nissan.co.th/th/web/shoppingsupport/dealer_list.htm?area=2448&city=&address=# I am going to e-mail them and report back.
  4. Good point with the Xterra carrying the WD22 label.
  5. Looks like it would fit. http://img.vast.com/original/3618546012520887230_8
  6. The favorite generation Pathfinder for most people on this board is the WD21. What about second choice? R50 2004 Pathfinder SE vs. R51 2008 Pathfinder SE I am guessing most people would choose the R50. The R50 could be a hybrid WD21 and R51. I definitely would choose the R50. The R51 is too bulky for my tastes. It might even be a close call for me whether I would take the R50 or WD21. The interior of the R50 is nicer than the WD21 and the exterior is not bad.
  7. I found this on a Thailand off road website. I wonder if they are definitely from Nissan. I think it was made to go where the ash tray was. It looks like the Thais created an uproar about the weak cup holders in the middle console. This is the link for the website. It begins with microsoft translator because it translates the page into English. http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thailandoffroad.com%2Fterrano%2Fterranoboard%2Fquestion.asp%3Fpage%3D12%26id%3D640

  9. I am curious. I contacted Nissan and gave a link to the picture of the badge and VIN. Let's find out what they say.
  10. I would contact Nissan. I am sure someone there could give the answer.
  11. Great information in this thread. Is it difficult for a layman to learn how to do repairs? What is the best way to acquire this knowledge? Is taking a car repair course helpful? Can a layman with common sense look at a repair manual and figure out how to replace a part?
  12. Do they only use OEM parts? If they do use after market parts, what is the point of paying a high price to have a car repaired at a dealership? I believe I remember a dealership repair shop asking if I wanted after market brake pads for a repair. Can independent repair shops acquire OEM parts? If so, why even bother going to a dealer to have a vehicle repaired? Independent repair shops always charge less. This would be for routine repairs like a radiator or water pump. What about for more complicated repairs? Is the added cost really worth it? Do dealership repair shops charge more for OEM parts than what an independent shop would?
  13. We have a Saturn L-300 that has only 35,000 miles and giving a lot of problems. The water pump and radiator needed to be replaced in June of last year. Then again last week. We are now getting the smell of coolant when turning the engine off. I posted the problem on a Saturn site, and people have suggested it is likely an oil cooler problem. I am not sure I want to find out if it is or not. If I trade in the vehicle, how many people would mention the problem to the salesman. What if it was a private party? I don't know for sure there is a problem. Am I obligated to pay money to find out if there is a problem?
  14. For whatever reason, I enjoy looking at old sales stickers. I see it was bought at Harrisonburg Nissan. I went to JMU. Small world. The '96 was the first year of the new design. Did the vehicle have any problems? What is with the note in the lower right of the sticker? That is pretty expensive for a manual transmission SUV back then. Did you get this promotional video with your vehicle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xYnmplY0ss
  15. I am new to towing. I am going to tow a small trailer. Someone is offering to sell me the Nissan 1994 Pathfinder OEM Class II hitch. Do I need to buy a ball or does the hitch alone allow me to attach it to the truck?
  16. Air conditioning adds $1K. $27,600 makes sense. It sounds like you got a heck of a deal. Do you recall if you bought it at the end of the model year? Maybe July or August 1996.
  17. Wow. I do know the 95's went up from 94, but I didn't realize it was that much! You must have really wanted one! Can I get the breakdown on the sticker? How much did you pay if I may ask?
  18. What was the MSRP on the sticker? Can I get a breakdown of the total cost? Does anyone what the dealer invoice price was?
  19. I believe they were General Grabber ST but not sure.
  20. Those things were not cheap. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Ten years ago they were over $1,000 for a set of four.
  21. Found it. Thank you. I thought ...... ...referred to transfer and differential gear oil in both manual and automatic transmissions as opposed to tranny fluid. In the legend at the top of the page where it says means "Inspect" Next to it it says "Replace if necessary" or something like that. I wish Nissan was more clear when replacement is necessary.
  22. Am I reading this correctly? It is not necessary to change the coolant at intervals? A fried of mine just had the radiator and water pump replaced on her vehicle and she was told it was because the coolant was not replaced enough.
  23. I have a '94 and I am looking at the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual and it does not even mention changing the auto transmission fluid. I believe the '95 owner's manual is the same as the '94. Where does it mention to change the auto transmission fluid? What line on the maintenance schedule in the back does it say to change it? If anyone else knows, that would be great.
