  1. yeah, the guy that sold it to me had ridiculous subwoofers in it. all he could hear was bass anyway, lol. he said he didn't even know they were that bad so he bought me some replacements.
  2. ^^^ like you said, must be a two door thing. thanks for posting, i edited the original.
  3. Thanks nunya, nice tips. Question though, are you sure it's not just two screws? I noticed where it looked like a 3rd one should go (far right) but there was nothing there so i checked the driver side armrest, only two screws there also.
  4. Take it off by pulling up and out... On to the door handle, peel the plastic back and the handle is held in by two nuts on the upper right hand corner, use a 10mm wrench to remove these... Next, pull this part that connects to the handle off while inside the door. This picture is only for reference, couldn't get a good camera shot with it in there. Be careful not to drop it down in the door... Here's the speaker, it's held in by four screws... I had to solder in new connections on my speakers, black is ground and the black/white is power for the pathfinder. But, you can just get some working replacements from the junkyard if you're not comfortable soldering. Should be the same for the driver side door, just more connectors to unplug. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  5. I had to replace the passenger speaker (blown) and door handle today so i thought i'd post up a how to. There is a link for removing the rear speakers, you just pop the panels off, but you have to pay to see the front removal. This is an easy easy job to do and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, i'm posting this because it's just kind of nice to know what you need to take off so you don't break anything and have to make a trip to the junkyard. You can get a trim and molding tool set for cheap from harbour freight, here's the link ( http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece-auto-trim-and-molding-tool-set-67021.html )hard to beat for $8. Here's the broken door handle(new ones are only $9 on ebay), just waiting for someone to snap it off... First unscrew the lock (wow!), lefty loosey... Next, pop off the door handle trim... Then, on the door arm rest, pop out this piece with a flathead screwdriver and remove the screw that was beneath it... Remove the arm rest, it slides out then pull up... After that you'll see two screws (or 3 if you're a 2 door), remove these... Then pop off your window switch... That's right, you guessed it, unplug the window switch... Now you can begin removing the tabs that hold the door panel on with your panel tool from harbour freight, there are 11 of them...
  6. Nice, i have been to two local junkyards looking for for various items along with that sunroof shade. Found 6 pathfinders, 3 with sunroofs, and 0 with that damn sunroof shade. Good find!
  7. Nice, this is exactly what i needed.
  8. thanks! yeah, it would of helped if there were 3 other ones to find. 1 out of 4 isn't bad though, might as well throw it away...if anyone is missing just one it's yours for free! lol
  9. Found this piece under the seat by the ecu. not sure what it goes to, just curious...
  10. haha, no worries. i knew when i got it that it would need some work, i appreciate everyone telling me all of the common problems or routine maintenance. there are plenty of videos and writeups on just about everything on here.
  11. Wow, thanks for the tip! I'll be doing this before I lift it. Timing belts being replaced every 100k sucks, i'm more familiar with the vq (chain instead of belt) than i am with the vg. That's ok though, I like learning new things. That video is VERY helpful (and hilarious ), makes me feel a little better about trying it.
  12. K, thanks for clearing that up for me. I'll probably go with the 3", i don't really want to run bigger tires right now but i'm sure i'll change my mind on down the road, i tend to do that....
  13. Ok, Newb question that has probably already been covered but i couldn't find anything with the search feature. I was looking on 4x4parts.com and was looking at the 2" and 3" body lift kits. Why is the 2" kit more costly? It looks like with the 3" you even get a few more parts. I just thought this was odd.
  14. I'm not sure that it has, the guy that sold it to me only had it for only 6 months(pathfinders are not very good daily drivers for 70 mile a day commutes), so i doubt it has.
