  1. i just started cutting the stuff out of mine to put a dual battery setup in. i had no problems. if anything it ran better.
  2. i would like to get a sticker to go across the top of my windshield with NPORA. can i buy one or a piece of paperwith the logo on it.
  3. my 87 pathfinder v6, it sounded like the TPS (throttle position sensor) was going out because it would go from 1500 to 1900 rpm over and over at idle. like a dying animal. it is annoying to the point of pissing me off. i replaced it and it is still doing it. so luckily i work at oreillys so i can just take it back and get my money. not sure if it is idle up solenoid or what, any suggestions will be helpful And when i get done playing in the mud my hub unlocks but then clunks when i am starting out if first in 2 wheel drive. i know my cv, needs replaced but it sounds like the hub, could it be my transfer case or what? took the hub off and it spun freely with no problems. could my transfer case not completly be disengaging. only the passenger side does it.
  4. it is easier than you think. there are 40 teeth on the timing belt between the 2 cam gears and there are 43 between the left hand cam and the crank. there should be 43 between the two white marks on your new belt. the cam gear should be marked LH.
  5. that does not have it, only shows the components. i know what the components are.
  6. i have my 87 pathy and rebuilt motor (somewhat) and most of the vacuum lines were brittle and falling apart. my chilton manual has nothing for that year. only the components. pretty sure i already know that. i need a picture or a diagram. if any one can help please do or a close up of 86-87-88 under the hood with air filter off. i know for a fact that it wont run when i put the motor back in with out this stuff thanks
  7. well the motor is put back together and carved out all the carbon out of the EGR and what a mess. gonna just hope that it still works because 105 bucks is not gonna happen, just rip all of it off and plug the @!*% up if i have. to. but the problem i am running into now is the vacuum diagrams. my chilton does not have one. its half ass. but brand new. so i need pics if any one has them of close up. tomorrow is friday and would like to put it back to gether but screwed if i cant find a diagram. because hell if i know where they go. half of them were brittle and falling apar. any pics. any thing at all.??????
  8. ya i ended up pullin it because it leaked oil on passenger side on the back somewhere. thought it had original motor. but appears to be a remanufactured. have no idea how many miles. figured it was rear main. but it was good. i think someone b4 me did not seal oil pan good and it leaked. but its ok i work at oreillys and get up to 50% off on some stuff like head gaskets.(29.99 ur cost 16.00 my cost. talk about sweet. i did the rear main the oil pan. head gaskets, water pump intake, and exhaust. have to replace all vacum hoses because all pieces of @!*%. got new clutch for 130 bucks while i got it out bcause that was pain in a** to get out. but going to put back into truck on friday and saturday. my egr valvelooks like crap. probably gonna do it. and then some heater hoses. left bottom end alone, hoping had good compression but could not check because head gasket was out. if you know of anything else let me know. will post picks when i GIT-R-DUN
  9. i only want to do the basic not rings and all that crap. maybe a 3.3 in the future. but just need good MPG right now. its killin me.
  10. well i work at oreillys and can get most the stuff for quick rebuild, basically gaskets seals clutch while i got it out etc. maybe rings not for sure yet. money is tight thats for sure. suburban is eating my money at 20 bucks every 2 days. and i think the rear main seal was out because it leaked oil all the time, sitting, driving it did not matter
  11. i need to know if i can swap a nissan maxima motor into my 1987 pathy. it looked like the oil pan is in a different spot. will the engine mounts etc be the same. need help fast and lifted suburban with 8 miles to the gallon and gas prices going up, its just running me broke.
  12. i guess i have to pull the front axle to get my engine out on my 87 nissan 4x4 3.0. what is the easiest way and what all do i have to remove, this engine change is starting to be a pain in my ass lol. found couple of motors for 500 bucks just waitin to get this dam motor out. any info please thanks, Colt
  13. do i have to pull the tranny to get the motor out. the oil pan gets hung up on the front axle. dont want to pull tranny or the oil pan. any ideas need help FAST! this was supposed to be fast and easy. in my yard on stands. planning on a 3.3 swap. any ideas plz help 5 speed
