  1. My 97 doesn't even have 6x9's, 4 6.5's instead, in each door. and stereo was super easy to install. 2 Phillips screws at bottom of the that middle dash piece. then when that piece is off 4 Phillips screws for the whole stereo chassis. REMOVE the negative battery terminal before for any work of course. I removed factory stereo in like 15 minutes. Also some pathys have a diversity stereo antenna, 2 prong. I had to buy a adapter, got on at wal mart online for 4 bucks. (Nissan dealership didn't even know what i was talking about!) diversity antenna is windshield and body mounted. whole time was like 25-30 minutes, But the GD Door speakers were a pain in the ass! That took 2 hours. Of course nothing lined up with he factory holes, they have little plastic adapter circles to add a bit of bass and stop vibrations from speaker to metal of the door. The door cards super thin ply-paper was too easy to break removing the rubber holders, and of course the end wiring connections were ridiculous. I just cut them and wired it my self instead of looking for the correct factory style connectors.
  2. Its a law here in WA, but its a 600$ fine I wish it had a week in jail added. I got hit with wife and child in car by a f-150 going 60 mph a block from my house, like 10 yrs ago, I had uninsured motorist, but it was only 50k per person. Wife was in ICU for over a week, we lost our house and had to file bankruptcy. The Driver was only 17,and on a date with a chick showing off, the officers offered to file vehicular assault we declined. But after the bills came in, wish I had. Reason I'm saying this, even liability on his part would have helped us, Our insurance has uninsured to 250k now but well probably never be in another the bad accident again lol.
  3. Oh my glad i live in WA. 7-8 hours to go 4x4'n? that's crazy. We have a state park that gives us access to a area that is actually too much for my pathy as it is :)after flooding my 94 and snapping the left front axle(not cv the axle!) and scraping paint with trees, and breaking the antenna. Wife has taken the pathy away till I promise to go slower.I have a metal skid plate for a 94, forgot to put it back on before i sold the rig.
  4. The 97 i just bought wobbled bad over 40 on bumps or braking. I sold my 94 and put the legos and tires on the 97....no more wobble. hurried to shucks/ORileys and canceled my 2 lower arms i have bought and were going mailed, although i took a 10 restock fee for both. It was the 31's they were in bad shape, but the driving is soooo much smoother now. Is it just more or bigger the tires worse the wobble? I'm sure i will have to replace the lower arms sometime, but instead i bought all new speakers....much more fun.
  5. Ill get some this morning wife has truck atm, and sold my 94 pathy today and ordered link arms for the sway of death on my 97. running all over and snowing, too much stress lol to think about pic's then. URL=http://img9.imageshack.us/i/97pathy1.jpg/][/url]
  6. Nope everything fit perfect no problems yay on both pathy's ...wait one problem...couldn't find the 2nd 1/2 the the spare tire release bar so i couldn't move that...
  7. I was wondering if i can remove me lego rims (1994 se 4wd) to my 97 se 4wd. Reason is I'm a cheap bastard. I have brand new tires on my 94 that I'm selling, and paid too much to let them go. But all the tire stores here want 15.99$ per wheel. + tax! thats like 130 bucks and im selling the 94 for 700$ But if the rims will match up, I'll just grab my jack stands and swap them. Any idea?
  8. Anyone know part numbers for basic parts for the rebuild? Having a horrid time finding them online. I found someone to pull and rebuild for 300 bucks. +parts. Well never mind the part #'s lol, the guy researched it and decided he needed much more than 300$, I told him yea? why do you think I jumped when u said you would pull and replace the counter-shaft bearings for 300+parts. ugh! So its back on Craigslist again.
  9. I just found out about this problem...have a 94 SE 5-speed. the noise pretty bad now and 3k aint worth it to me so today I'm gonna buy a 97 SE automatic for 2k or less. I'm gonna take it to the dealer and have them do a fluid service. And then guess I'm gonna put it on craigslist for 1500$ or best I can get lol. (will inform about the counter shaft i'm not a dick.)
  10. thx mate. Wife and I thought It wouldn't have been that much of a difference but seems it is
  11. Ok thx, saves me some money and gas lol.
  12. I been looking on the net so as to not bring this up here, but I've had no luck. Question I have is, will 97' glove box, center console (between seats), ashtray and sunroof fit a 94 pathy? I keep looking but I cant get concrete answers, :)any help would be a great help in me not buying interior parts from a 97 to fit a 94. Dave.
