  1. Yeah. lots of guys running 33"s and 35"s where i play, digging those ruts nice and deep. I'd pick a different line, but when you cant see the ruts due to the soup. it's kinds hard! In saying that, i've only been beached twice, so not too bad!
  2. I was out playing in the mud with two highly modded zukes and a 'lux yesterday. With only 31" MT's and a 2" coil lift i was able to tackle everything they could + some. Everyone was eyeballin' my Terrano and commenting on how well it went and how it just ate up the bogs. My only moan is i need more lift and 33"s as my rear diff beaches way too easy!
  3. That's just payback for them bloody possums you fullas sent us!
  4. I'm picking up a set of these 15x8 -24 offset: Shorn with a set 31x10.5 maxxis bighorns on tuesday. I wouldn't go any bigger as my worn AT's at full lock leave little clearance. It'll also be interesting to see if i get any rubbing with the extra offset as the current works alloys are a -10 and again at full articulation, leave little clearance. though they're a 7" rim, so there shouldn't be too much difference. Except the truck will look more badass and be more fun in the mud.
  5. I Have headers, a straight through pipe with resonator and a single lukey muffler, and to be honest, it sounds like a tractor. Pretty much like the one in the vid on the previous page. i run my 31" Pirellis @ 40 psi on the road and 20 on the trail. If i run them at any less than 40 she gets REAL floaty in the back end. also, talking to the local tyre guy, he reckons that 40psi will net more miles. we'll see. As for the hard ride? My DD is a subie with bilsteins and 215/45/17's running 38psi front and 36 rear. The pathy is like a luxo barge compared to that. As for the floatyness, i suspect new shocks will help somewhat.
  6. Oooh, do I feel that! Aint got one of those, either. It has Extractors and a straight through 2.5" exauhst. I'd expect there to be at least a couple of o2 sensors, but theres none at all. Am i correct in assuming that the ECU will be compensating by defaulting to a fuel rich map? I have no codes.
  7. Hi all, I was looking under my truck today, and i noticed that when the PO had the exhaust done, they deleted the O2 sensor!! (explains my abysmal economy i think!) Anyway, I'm looking for the cable that connects to the oxy sensor, but I can't find it? Anyone able to help?
  8. Cheers! Yup, Am quite happy with the pirellis, they perform well everywhere for an AT, even in the mud. Tho in saying that i'm keeping them for long haul trips and throwing some MT's on in the next week or two.
  9. Kia Ora from the shaky isles. I'm Sam from The Kapiti Coast, NZ. Just got first 4wd (my other baby is an AWD Twin Turbo Subaru Legacy). You guys have a good site here with lots of info! Pics of my babies I Have a thread over in members rides for the truck!
  10. Black over Gunmetal. will post pics once i have my new black rims to complement the 5% tints on the rear doors n tailgate. Currently she also has a top coat of mud, and bush inspired body coloured stripes.
  11. Cheers mate. Will throw up some pics once i have my steelies and mudders on. Truck has a lot of sag in the rear too, so will need to suss some lift springs and shocks. but tyres first! She's black on gunmetal with 5% tints on the rear side glass and tailgate, with i reckon, 50% up the front. Should look the business on black 15x8 speedy's and 31" mudders! not to mention a little more capable!
  12. Check the plugs that fit on to the bulbs. The contacts in said plugs can loosen. Just need a small flathead screwdriver to prise them back up.
  13. hey all, another kiwi signing in. just picked up a 93 R3m V6. absolutely love it. Had a play up in the mangatuks today, awesome! and the heated seats were an absolute treat in a fresh welly southerlie!!!
