  1. So I spent the day yesterday troubleshooting my 94 LE for the fuel pump not working. Put in a new pump and relay and still nothing. Traced the problem to the relay not getting a ground connection from the ECM. What controls the ECM to initiate the completion of the ground connection? Is there a sensor or something that tells the ECM to cut the ground and stop the fuel pump? I just cut the ground wire at the ECM and connected the relay wire to the grounding screw and it runs now, but would like to fix it properly.
  2. You access it from under the front fender. Just remove the plastic fender liner held in with a few screws. The hard part was fishing the wire into the dash. Then I figured out how to take it apart. Remove the glovebox. The two plastic stops that prevent the glovebox from flopping all the way open just push in. Now you have access to remove all the screws to the glovebox. You will also want to remove the plastic panel on the exterior sidewall down by the passengers feet and remove the dash panel to the right of the glovebox. It didnt seem that this piece came off easily at first, then I discovered just a couple fasteners holding it in. By removing this it makes it possible to connect the new antenna wire to the antenna wire that runs to the stereo.
  3. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/pathfinder/ has the factory service manual for your pathfinder. Look in the electrical section for the wiring diagrams.
  4. I found the power antenna timer. It was behind the cargo area panel on the passengers side.
  5. Fuses all checked out. Looks like there is a power antenna timer but I can't find it. Anyone know where this is? Looks like from the diagram on page EL-82 it is connector number 318M. If you are looking at the diagram it is on the very top of the page if you are looking vertically, or on the right if you look at it horizontally.
  6. I installed a new nissan factory power antenna on my 94 LE and it doesn't raise and lower. When I first installed it I had the plug attached but didn't have the antenna cable attached to the stereo yet. When I turned the pathfinder on and off the antenna went up and down like it should. I went about doing some other work under the hood and eventually got the wire routed under the dash to hook up to the stereo. Now it doesn't work at all. I also had the windshield replaced a while ago and noticed they did not install the new windshield with the antenna on the glass. I do have the connector under the passenger A pillar, but there is not a wire on the windshied to attach to. Is there a relay that controls the antenna motor? Where does the trigger wire (blue) from the stereo go that then supplies two wires to the antenna motor? What fuse circuit could be effecting this?
  7. Well I decided to get the 31x10.5r15 Trailcutter M&S. It is just a snow tire that should fit without any problems. I have them on my Silverado and they are great on the snow. If it looks like 32's would fit I can get them in the spring when I don't need the snow tires anymore.
  8. So with the 3" lift would your tires still rub or do you think it would clear okay? I don't have the lego rims, they are the factory 6 spoke aluminum. Would the backset be the same as the Lego?
  9. I couldn't find the box. Can you be a bit more specific on where it is located on a 94 LE.
  10. It great when you let people borrow the car and you warn them but they don't listen. I can't tell you how many times I've told someone about it and then they lock themselves out of the car. Mechanics notoriously lock themselves out. One time I had someone borrow the pathfinder and they locked themselves out... they were so embarrased they hired a locksmith to come open the door rather than ask to borrow the spare key. I warned them!
  11. Okay, I've searched for the past hour on what size tire to use with a 3" body lift from 4x4parts.com. I'm looking for a good snow or AT tire (that performs well on snow). I'm thinking tall and narrow. My searches basically came up with a 31x10.5r15 on stock will fit without rubbing or 33's fit if you have both a 3" body lift and a 3" suspension lift. I'm in between with only a 3" body lift. Will 32's fit stock 15" rims without rubbing? I've got a '94 LE. Recommendations on tires and suppliers are welcome!
  12. Forget messing with the speedo... just get a GPS that shows the speed on the display!
  13. I usually get my normal stuff from NAPA. They are pretty much the only one close to where I live. My latest struggle has been the alternator belt from them. I think it's slightly larger than the pathfinder needs and makes a ton of noise. I've got a replacement coming from Nissan, so I hope that one fits better.
  14. I guess I need to give it just a little more pursuasion then. Thanks guys.
  15. What gets me is that this was to stimulate the American Economy. It sees that most of the cars that people bought were imports. At least they could have limited it to American made cars.
