  1. a few years back there was a build thread on a wd21 that had a full tube front, chopped frame, 4-link and shortened body.... can someone help me find it? i've searched and searched and cant find it
  2. does anybody have a FSM or spare rear rotor laying around so i could get some brake rotor dimensions? i mainly need to OD, and thickness thanks
  3. thats some nasty sludge, time for sea foam? or a different oil
  4. I remember someone sent me the craiglist link on EWORC, anyway... you can have your thread back
  5. i think the location you have is directly over the inside part of the fender that bolts to the inner fender/firewall. if you could get the sidemarker light as small as the VW side markers it would be ok. anything over that would be tacky. but you can do what ever you want, its your rig.
  6. you can do it that way but you will have problems getting a good seal on the pan gasket. i've done it that way on my 280z before and its a pain truing to get RTV to stick to the oil soaked pan gasket
  7. sounds like you need to pull the oil pump and replace the gasket between it and the block. this requires dropping the oil pan, which requires dropping the front axle. lucky you
  8. i thought you were selling it?
  9. i know a guy trying to get rid of his '65 patrol axles, pm me if interested, i can get you his number or email.
  10. the vg30de and vg30d are the same blocks, it will bolt right up, the dohc heads will not allow you enough space between the heads and the frame to run exhaust manifolds.
  11. there wasnt a d35 front just a rear, its a d30 throw it in the dumpster or sell it back to a heep ***. its only good for stock sized tires
  12. theyre just too F%$%ing cheap to put a culvert in and pile some rock over the top. if the greenines would leave the ORV budget alone they could fix the trails so that they werent having a negative impact on the fisheries.
  13. i heard they closed a bunch of the trails that intersect the streams. next thing they will have a toll booth on the entrance... greedy bastards. by the time i get my rig trail worthy enough to go wheel Elbe and Reiter they will all be closed.
  14. its going to be alot worse in the next 2 years since the Dem's in Olympia stole 75% of the DNR's budget for ORV trails and campgrounds. the DNR estimated that it was going to have to fire 70% of it workforce to handle the budget cuts.
  15. http://orvtrailwatch.org/PHPbb2/index.php ABOUT ORV TRAIL WATCH ORV Trail Watch is a group of off road enthusiasts who want to keep designated trails, motorized recreation areas and certain campgrounds open to ORVs. Many ORV areas receive bad press and are sometimes closed completely due to irresponsible users driving off designated trails, making their own illegal trails, mudding meadows, cutting trees, trespassing and generally creating a mess. Rule breakers are cutting their own throats because they cannot see past fifteen minutes of fun. And their irresponsible behavior gives all ORV users a bad name. We want to help put a stop to it and we feel the best way we can assist is by taking pictures and reporting the rule breakers. Once people know ORV Trail Watch is out taking pictures they may think twice and maybe spread the word to their friends as well. The purpose of this forum is to educate, use pictures against rule breakers and contribute in any way we can to help save our trails. if you are interested please visit: http://orvtrailwatch.org/PHPbb2/index.php and sign up!
  16. whats wrong with it? it looks like you actually used your pathfinder as a 4x4 instead of a mall crawler
  17. the tranny and t-case have separate vent lines that tie into a common tube that connects the tanny/tcase/ front & rear axles. and it vents @ the firewall with an inverted trap. i havent had time to check the vent line yet. maybe i will get to it this weekend.
  18. im 100% positive its the t-case oil, its good ole stinky gear oil. and its running down the speedo cable housing back to the fire wall... it could be the leaf cutter bee's have plugged my vent lines they will build a nest in anything hollow and round over here. i will have to pull the drain plug and see if it gushes out.. if it does then i bet the tranny is low, i've ran some really steep hill climbs and done a ton of uphill driving in the thing. thanks for the offer. i know of a few over here that i can get a hold of. worst case i can drive my LUV for a few days
  19. i have gear oil leaking from the speedo cable under my dash, its been oozing long enough to run down the firewall to the carpet. is there a seal in the drive end of the cable to prevent the oil from getting sucked up the housing? could this be from the extra liter of oil added to the trans? thanks in advance!
  20. according to the FSM, the SMJ should have a bolt in it holding it together... mine doesnt. is there anybody else thats missing theres? and should i worry about it?
  21. the only deep water around here is in the lakes, and the few trails that cross rivers are just a few feet deep. the snorkles around here are on poser mall crawlers (with a few exceptions).
