  1. Just a word of warning I've got 145,000 on my Pathfinder and decide to put synthetic in it during my last oil change..within a few days I had oil dripping from my oil pan. I never found out where the leak was coming from but I suspect the rear main oil seal..I let it go for several weeks but it never stopped leaking changed back over to Castrol 10W30 and with in a few days the leak had stopped and hasn't returned.
  2. Link to 95 owners manual on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-Nissan...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. I've had 2 95 SE's and both had very loud interior noise. I recently bought some B-quiet ultimate sound deadener for the firewall and floor pan but have not had the time to do the install. I'll post my results about the B-quiet as soon as the install is complete.
  4. Slick, I was thinking the same thing...I'm gonna take it into the shop and weld a piece of angle iron to the crossmember see if I can't get a little coverage on it.
  5. The crosspipe hangs a little less than an inch an a half lower than the crossmember...that was the only thing I wish would have been different with the install.
  6. I hear ya...It was a balmy 60-65 when I put mine on...The joys of living south of the Mason Dixon line.
  7. k9sar have you made any progress putting on those Pacesetters?
  8. Here are the pics of my Thorley install http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/chupacabra12/2.jpg Drivers side and ERG http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/chupacabra12/1.jpg Passenger side http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/chupacabra12/3.jpg A view from underneath
  9. I'll post pics as soon as I get my hands on my daughters digital camera...Saturday most likely...any particular shot you interested in or just an overall view?
  10. The ERG fit with a very small adjustment just had to bend it slightly...hooking everything up to the stock exhaust was a snap...the hardest part was detaching the stock pipes from the system(soak everything with PB blaster for better results) The hardest part of this job IMO was getting everything off the engine in preperation for the install. Once that was done everything just fell into place.
  11. I just finished installing Thorley Headers on my 95 Pathfinder auto. Besides the two broken manifold studs I ran into no problems at all putting these babys on other than the fact that it's a B***H getting at all the nuts and bolts in there. It's a real tight fit for sure. Bring a lot of patience and work til your hands cramp up then take a break then go back at it. Took me three days give or take working about 3 hrs. a day to get them on. Besides getting new gaskets to replace the ones Thorley sends with the headers(I used the Napa #MS15363W they come with the header gaskets and the two tri-flange gaskets you'll need) the only thing extra I picked up was the Nissan gasket that sits between the cat and the Y-pipe(metal gasket) and a 2" band clamp for the slip on fitting. Sounds like a new ride...I never realized how loud the exhaust leak was before because it just slowly becomes part of owning a Pathy...but with these puppys on I can't believe I waited this long to get headers. I've read other posts on this site about noisy lifters etc. and I swear after doing this that it cut down on what I thought was noisy lifters in my engine. Sorry about the long post but in closing if you're thinking seriously about getting headers because of an exhaust leak don't hesitate...You'll be amazed and able to hear yourself think while you're tooling around town.
  12. I just picked up all the nuts and bolts so to speak for my new Thorley headers... QTY Part # Name 12 14065-V5004 Stud-Manifold 12 14039-W1500 Nut 12 14037-v5005 Washer-Lock 02 14037-v5000 Gasket-Manifold exhaust I paid $111 for everything at my local Nissan dealer...The part # for the studs are for the 300zx twin turbo (revised stud) I was given what I thought was a really good discount for the parts because as I was told by the parts guy..."putting headers on your pathfinder is probably the best solution for a pemanent fix for the exhaust leak...but you didn't hear that from me."
  13. All of the above...It's just got a real stiff ride all around, on the highway and off. I've got new adjustable Nissan shocks on it now....I'll probably go with some Rancho 9000's next go around.
  14. Anyone know of a way to put coils/springs in the front end of a 95 Pathfinder? I was wondering if there was a way to to add some softness to the front end...mine seems a little unforgiving going over large ruts..ditches, etc.
  15. What year JGC springs are suitable for this application?
