  1. Not adjustable. Most likely bad tie rods or steering rack bushings.
  2. If the shocks are ok if may very well be the rear control arm bushings. Come to think of it mine would do the same thing when going over speed bumps. I didn't have that much death wobble but it did feel better over speed bumps after I replaced the 4 rear control arms. Have fun
  3. Happened to mine too. I put some JB weld on the pitted areas and sanded it a bit to make it smooth. I did it a few years ago and now it's leaking a little again.
  4. I have a pair of brand new Kyb shock for a 2001 for sale. Are you in the US or Canada?
  5. I would just get new ones. BTW if you do decide to change the control arms I have a brand new set of bolts and nuts that I bought from 4x4parts but never used. I also have a pair of brand new KYB gas-a-just shocks for a 2001 Pathfinder. Let me know
  6. You probably have the info already but heres a kit from courtesyparts, com http://www.courtesyparts.com/bundle-timing-belt-kit-pathfinder-r50-p-568788.html?cPath=4700_7668_7669&
  7. Could be the distributor also. Do you have a know good one to swap it with?
  8. Sounds like it's the distributor. I ordered one from King Distributors and the have a lifetime warranty. They're in NY. I think Autozone sells a Cardone brand one also with lifetime warranty. Also check the screw that holds the rotor in place. It was loose on my new distributor and left my wife stranded far from home.
  9. It's the ac evaporator drain. It's clogged. Turn on the AC and see if it's draining the water through the correct drain hose in the fire wall.
  10. Oh yeah. Forgot about the rack bushings. I also had to change mine. I did them at the same time that I replaced my rack n pinion.
  11. Probably the ball joints. Also check the inner and outer tie rods.
  12. I'm going to replace the rear upper and lower trailing arms. I don't wanna bother with pressing the bushings out and all that jazz so I want to order the complete links with the bushings already installed and just swap them out. I The cheapest I found them was at amazon.com for about $45 each complete made by Dorman with Lifetime Warranty but it says that they won't fit the 1996 but it will fit the 1997 Pathfinder. Is the info correct? Are the 96 and 97 upper and lower links different? If they are what's different on them? If they won't fit I'll just probably buy the poly bushing kit from 4x4parts.com Thanks for the help.
  13. There is or was a recall for that cracked manifold. Mine was replaced for free back in 2004 or 2005. Check to make sure and keep your reciepts because Nissan might give you a refund on the parts since you did the work yourself.
  14. oops....didn't realize it's a 2004. Same symptoms as when my dist went out in my vg33.
  15. Pretty sure it's a bad distributor. Try and swap it with a known good one or get a new one at Advanceauto.com with lifetime warranty. Also do a search for online coupons for 20% off.
  16. What? New spindles...new sway bars..? What are you doing to your Pathy?
  17. I just bought some KYB GR2 struts,KYB gas-a-just shocks, and KYB strut bump stops for my 1996 Pathfinder at partsgeek.com The price was even better that advanceautoparts.com with a 20% discount and free shipping. I have a question though since I need the strut mounts and bearing from courtesyparts.com What parts exactly do I need from Nissan besides the ones I already bought? Do you have to disconnect the tie rods from the spindle to change the front struts?

  19. rockauto.com was about $75 plus shipping but I found a new OEM 1996 Pathy knock sensor for $45 shipped on Ebay.
  20. Should they be replaced in pairs? What's the best place to buy a new O2 sensor?
  21. congrats. Check the timing with a timing light too.
  22. Are you gonna get it? Let us know what happens. All should be good. Mark the rotor position on the old one and put the new one in the exact same position.
