  1. So I sold my 87 in June, the day I graduated high school actually. I'm loving my new 03 silverado, but I sold the nissan to one of my friends and damn has he put it through hell and back, and I miss it soo much. He wheels it almost every weekend, and I'm surprised he hasn't blown it up yet. So now I'm looking for a new Pathy, instead of trying to buy it back from him. So... have I missed much in the past few months? What kind of price is a good price these days? I have found some 93, 94s for about 2500-3500 or so. I found a reallly nice 89 with SL and BL on 33's with a "kustom black paint with chromalusion flames" for 2500. I think I'm going to look at it this weekend. I'm leaning more towards the 2doors again. http://img220.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img1538kf7.jpg http://img220.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img1380qj5.jpg
  2. I went to the junkyard and my friend was like dang thats a sweet light bar! I look over and its an 88 pathy, with a factory light bar, with the stock lights in perfect condition! I took it up front without even asking for a price first, haha. I got some aftermarket black side step bars with a diamond plate step part from a 94 hardbody also, they fit in the front if I cut the plate out thats right under the body lift block, I think its a support beam but with the step bars hopefully it will somewhat reinforce it again. They have to be welded, I guess the frame is shorter so it won't bolt on the pathy. I also got a 2 to 1 muffler complete with the pipes and tips off the hardbody, with some mods I think I can make it fit. All of it for $120. I repainted the light bar, and I'm working on the steps too, it took longer because I had to sand off the rust. I'm still thinking about selling the truck so I might put the light bar and finshed step bars up here for sale in a few weeks or so. I'll keep you posted and post some pics in a few days.
  3. http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/Guards_Nissan.HTM its all the way at the bottom, black is $119, and chrome is $144. BUT it isn't a perfect fit. I had to take a hacksaw and cut part of the bottom pieces off so it would fit snug. To install it, you have to remove the 4 screws in the front of your bumper, and drill 2 holes in the top part of the plastic piece. Along with buying longer bolts, but that wasn't a problem. Also, the tabs weren't welded correctly so if you look at it closely, you can tell it sits facing a little to the right. I called the company cussing them out throughout the day for their sh!tty product , but after it was done and I got the lights mounted up, it looks good..

  5. its pretty sweet looking, but it is kinda sketchy. I wish they had a pic of it on the pathy

  7. I'm working on trying to find a place to keep it, and get something good on gas. Then take 2 or 3k and make the pathy into a project truck / weekend toy. 3" SL, redo whole exhaust, prolly new tires.. I'm thinkin the 33x13.50 LTBs with rock crawler rims for $800 in Peterson's off road magazine. Warn Premiums. Maybe an LSD rear end also. brand new LSDs and lockers are pretty effin expensive.... any more suggestions?
  8. If you can compete with 4 grand, and depending on how soon I find another truck. He says it won't be until May or maybe June until he can get it.
  9. Thank you for all the compliments, I remember when I first got it bone stock a few years ago I never thought people would be talking about it like that. haha. I do try to keep it clean when I don't plan on wheeling it for awhile because they are so unique, I have only seen a handful that are anything but stock. I really really want to keep it, but if I sell it for the 4 grand, I'll have 14 or 15 to spend on a newer Chevy 1500, which is really tempting. Keeping it and getting something different is kind of out of the question because in VA after having 5 or more cars you have to get on a different insurance plan, and being a freshman in college I can't afford to pay insurance on 1 of the vehicles and gas for both of them. Plus the wheeling spots around here are getting less and less. I take it I would be lucky to keep the 13 mpg I'm getting now after 33's or 35's. ...More thinking to do
  10. I graduate from high school this june and my parents want me to get a new truck, (00-04 Chevy 1500). I have about 10k saved up. A friend has already told me they will give me 4 grand for my pathy, but I want to keep it and put 3 or 4 grand into and the other 6 grand into a brand new utility 4wheeler. So my question is, can I get to about 18 mpgs (I'm at 13 right now) with my Pathy, along with maybe doing a SAS, a friend of mine would be doing it for me, and I would only have to pay for parts, no labor. And then putting 35's, maybe 33's if I don't have the money. I want to do an engine rebuild, and I'll probably have to gears also. This is what I have so far: -1987 -3" BL -Flowmaster cat-back exhaust -32x11.50 BFG ATs -192xxx miles pics coming up after I edit them.
  11. Will a Trailmaster 4" Suspension Lift, Calmini 3" Suspension Lift, and 3" Performance Accessories Body Lift (I know things are cheaper if you get RC control arms, JGC coils and all that I'm just making an example) make a 10" lift? supposedly this is what this guy has with 33's...
  12. has anyone contacted the guy who made them yet?
  13. wow total deja vu'!! I had the exact same problem about a month ago, its the crankshaft position angle sensor inside the distributor the only way to fix it is to replace the whole distributor. I sat on it for a little less then a month and listened to everyone telling me to check codes and try this and try that and nothing worked untill I changed the distributor and I haven't had any problems since

The first time I checked the codes it said: 11 Crank Angle Sensor/Camshaft Position Sensor. 13 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. 21 Ignition Signal. then I did mode V and it cut off, I couldn't figure out what they were fast enough but I'm pretty sure it was: RED LED flashes 3 times for 1.5 seconds, check the Crankshaft Position Sensor GREEN LED flashes twice-3 times for 0.5 seconds, check Mass Air Flow Sensor I checked the Crankshaft Position Sensor (right side of the Distributor cap?) and it gave 12v and then continuity ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few days later I did it again and it said: 11 Crank Angle Sensor/Camshaft Position Sensor. 12 Air Flow Meter/Mass Air Flow Sensor. 13 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. I can't find the MAF sensor or the Engine Coolant Temp. one but I did order a new distributor with ignition module. Pictures would be nice of where these sensors are.

About a week ago I started my truck and it idled fine for a few mins and then the engine acted like it was about to stall out and the tach was jumping all around then it cut off. I started it again and it did the same thing, but then went away after starting it the third time. Yesterday morning it did it while i was driving and 2 minutes later it did it again and cut off, luckily i had the clutch in. It also happend another time the same day. I drive it everyday and it has only happend 2 days in the past week or so.
  18. On the way home from wheeling this weekend my steering wheel was shaking pretty badly, it has done this once before because mud was caked up on the rims and threw it off balance, is my theory. When I got home I cleaned them off and sprayed the whole front suspension off and it still does it, but not nearly as bad. I did a quick check but couldn't tell if anything was broken, but I'm not exactly sure what I should be looking for. Any ideas?

Well my pops gave a big NO, I should have known that was coming after barely getting the body lift. "you'll never get out of it what you put into it"...I'm not trying to get anything out of it. enjoying it is totally worth it. But by next summer I will have graduated and moved out then the fun will start... SAS and 100% trail rig.

so I need one with a .58" diameter out of any JGC? Also, where do you find them for so cheap besides a JY, the cheapest I found online was like $78 and I think it was only for 1.

I read 88's How To, but then I used search and found more recent posts and 88 said he wished he would have known all the JGCC weren't the same, and I don't know which information is correct. I took it as I need; 1992-1997 JGC V8 4WD Front Coils with a .58" diameter. Also, you have to cut 3/4 of the first coil off? sorry for not being able to comprehend
  25. yeah I've done it on a buddies '88 F250, and it seems like the same process
