  1. sorry, but it wont work; unless you keep the stock air box on the throttle body. the factory airbox has that wierd hump inside the filter. it creates some sort of volocity that the motor needs to run. the motor will not rev past 2500IIRC. I tried numerious styles of airboxs that sat ontop of the TB so I could run my snorkel. nothing worked untill I cut the stock box where the filter sat and built off there. I dont know why, but the throttle body needs that stupid hump/hill to run. the motor just falls flat on its face without it. 4 different styles I tried. dunno.
  2. MMMM, loooow 116" WB 18.5" belly at full bump 72" roof at full bump gona shoot for 6" of uptravel. more then I first wanted but I didnt expect this thing to be as low as I got it. and I like to romp on it in the winter so some uptravel should be nice. flat belly. front lower mounts are the only thing that hang down. had to do this to get some vertical sepertation in the links at the frame cause I didnt want to go threw the floor. still has DRW hubs on it. the boarder is flooded so I cant get any of my parts that have been waiting for months now... arg!
  3. ya, south st.vital. my buddy has a NX2000 you would probly like too. SR20DET swap with a "few" goodies. hopin to push ~380whp this summer without spray. next winter its my turn at her. gona do an AWD conversion on it. pm me if you wanna meet up and talk cars sometime.
  4. its always been race... lol tekazgtr1984, im in winnipeg, in person is cooler then pics!
  5. reason it takes so long, money goes here: and spent alot of last year wheeling/building this: sold the tracker so now I gota finish the pathfinder so I can wheel again! if the weather keeps up, ill probly start working on this thing in the next few weeks. may even go dig it outa the snow this weekend...
  6. wow, forgot about this. it rolls. need to make lower spring mounts for the rear, fill the front shocks. have to pick up my SRW hubs and calipar brackets that have been waiting at the boarder for months...that is all I need till I can finish final assembly of the axles. found a place localy that will make me brake lines. have to wait till it warms up so I can measure for lenght. rebuilt the D300, just playing with cable shifts now. tapped the XJ steering box. got my ram also. some more tube upfront and finish fish plates for the front frame basicaly a ton of work still to do. but eh, it rolls on D60's front and rear sry these are so dark ride hight with 40's. again sorry so dark
  7. my 89 had lock up. and it had O/D as well. I belive 87 was 3 speed and 88+ all had the 3 speed with OD. I put a 97 tranny into the 89 and there was no difference in RPM's on the hiway.
  8. I will not drink 2 days in a row. somethig i heard about. if you can do it, you wont turn into an alcoholic apparently. 3 beers a day is kinda interesting IMO. but then again ill finish a 12 and then some both friday and sat nights and it seems like I do it every weekend(ok, it is everyweekend ya ya, its 2 days in a row lol). I dont drink through out the week tho.
  9. how many ppl have killed there ECU's by water in a pathfinder? just curious. I relocated mine just to be safe. but my buddies B2 had the comp on the passanger kick area. there is still a water line 1/4-1/3 of the way up it. I remember the exact time that happened, the truck was in a small river that had flooded its banks. the truck was still running with the ECU 1/3 under water(all the wire conections are at the bottom too). it would have driven home but we still had the stock intake on it at that time that pulls air in from the grill area. we sucked water in and the motor died. pulled the truck out of the creek, pulled the plugs and turned it over. messed up the plug wire arangement tho. so it ran really rough. towed it home, got the right wire arangement and the truck ran fine.
  10. mmmm, rubber 39.5x13.5x17 bias Iroks mounted on 17x10's. tires are the biggest hit to the pocket book. everything else can be bought in pieces and be easier on the pocket book! threw the 39's on the diesel for kicks and giggles today. flat spots are INSANE. and they handle like CRAP on the road. im sure having 8k lbs on them doesnt help. but my god! needles to say, the 37" truxus will be going back on! lol.
  11. 89 nissan pathfinder. 15x8" rims with 4" BS. 33x12.5R15 Procomp xterrians. 3"BL. slight tbar crank(maybe an inch). NO plastic(inner fenders, fender flares, mudflaps). I had NO rubbing!
  12. $142 to fill my truck today. last tank lasted exactly one week. it sucks big time and is causing me to look for a job closer to home. spending $500 a month on gas is really slowing down all my projects
  13. I also thought it had to be "snow white" in colour or somthing like that? cant really recall, been a while since i last looked into this
  14. mostly part gathering. have started cutting tho. needed another trail truck to scratch my wheeling itch so I pulled my 91 zuk tracker in the grarage a month ago. just finishing up it up. has a D44 and 8.25 with 3 links front and rear. doubler and 35's. it started as a "get me out on the trails ASAP" thing but now im kinda liking the thing lol. hope to be out on the trails with it next weekend. then the R50 will get attention agian. from what have seen so far on the R50, a SAS is not all that hard. the biggest issue is steering, full hydro steering is a must IMO. mounting a steering box can be done, but isnt worth all the work specially if you are trying to fit 37"+ tires and/or trying to get near zero approach angle.
