  1. darn sorry to hear that, i dont like the stuff from AC anyways gives me another reason to hate the stuff
  2. if its alternator brackets count me TOO! ill send you uh... a tootsie roll?
  3. it depends on what your idea basic upgrades is. most ppl who come to this forum do some light wheelin and want to make it more trail worthy. not many if any come to drop it. basic upgrades could be like say: basic mantinence , tinting , improve audio, handling ect. sometimes you have to be specific and or use the SEARCH button to find information. remeber its a forum, a place to share information and ideas.
  4. whao 16" tires! those be some small tires
  5. looks better than the pilots to me
  6. stockers dont have pre amp outs so you would have to get some sort of adapter that creates pre amp outs. so the amp would get a signal. but it would be better to put in the clairon and hook it up the amp and subs. i doubt you could use the steering wheel switches
  7. how about the spent shell of this...
  8. eh computers are overrated oh yea and so are jeeps
  9. wow them prices be a deal around here. just for a rebuild its like 2300-3500 depending where you go. even a japanese used one goes for like 1300 cleaned and crated.
  10. i got 6 1/2s in my doors, used longer screws and also made a wood spacer to space it from the door.
  11. if that doesnt work you could go to the salvage yard and "barrow" a set from a junker. i believe some one fixed it by trimming the plastic square that surrounds the white shaft of the switch at the base of the assembly
  12. lol wont be long till we are up to that. every thing is gettting more expensive. a couple of years ago when that bad tropical storm came through, our house insurance tripled! can you say rediculous? then i got into 2 accidents, one my fault (couldnt see sun was in my eyes) and the other wasnt. some stipid %#@*# desided to pull out when i was almost in front of her and i slammed into her fender. now my insurance is like 309 a month just for liability! i guess thats what i get for being 18 and every accident being my fault. %$@* insurance chumps... in houston we have some of the worst drivers. today while down town some guy thought it would be a good idea to take a left turn from the center lane with traffic infront of us. the a week ago i was driving my pops dodge and a kind semitrailer thought it would be cool to merge right in to my lane with me next to him. good thing my pops truck has good brakes cause that semi trailer didnt even know i was there. and no i wasnt in a blind spot cause i could see him wistling away to the radio. some times i wish i had a tank
  13. oh we get free tests if we fail, but still 40, geez "want my arm and leg too?" . apperently our trucks pollute too much, forget about all the Oil refineries they dont pollute at all.
  14. if you run over to sears you can get the rancho 5000s for 39 if you get there the right time during sales, but they some times go back up to the regular 49 with some sort of rebate for instilation i think, like 5 bucks or something. installiation is 13 per sock, so between 200-250. hehe i get an employee discount, a whoping %10
  15. hehe it would cost more around here to bribe an attendent, it costs just a low payment of about $40 to just get emessions done regulary. imagen what the attendent would want . used to cost 8 bucks not to long ago.... :furious:

    Alarm

you check the sensitivity? never know, you could have a morning walker walk by and set it off.
  17. its sounds like its a sticky solinoid, oil and dirt gets up in there and causes it to stick and what not. i had to get mine recondition, cost me $45. was pretty gucky when i got it out, ran like a charm when i got it back.
  18. be even better to cover the wires in heat shrink tubing for a nice clean tight fit.
  19. that tube is prolly the Hot line for the ac if im correct?
  20. ive been stuck worse than the first but not as bad as the second. i highcentered in a 15foot diamiter pool of water with a thin layer of mud and a ton of clay, watery clay is some bad stuff. sticks to every thing. i had water up to my door seals and the engine with a rough idle and 5 ppl inside. was fun till i couldnt get out.
  21. yea thats what i was thinkin. how did you get stuck? no traction in the back? good thing you didnt highcenter in that stuff there, now you would be stuck then
  22. same here, you could have it roll down a cliff of hit it going 50 and it wont go off but if you open the door with the alarm on, watch out. ive got a 130 decible air horn hooked up to it and man is it loud. i know exactly when it goes off cause i can hear it across the nieghbor hood. keeps thieves away every one knows whos rig it is
  23. well i tested the ECU and go two things: battery low and everything ok. i think imma talk my buds dad into helping me check it out, hes ASE certified and i dont think he would mind, he did charge my friend 20bucks to put on his shorty headers. but this is alittle different that headers...
  24. would it be something that a novice could do? or is it just time consuming? otherwise i gotta find a trans shop to work on it. ill run the ECU tests and see what comes up. thnx for the replys
