  1. Black Betty Or- Black Betty Bam-ba-Lam. It even comes with a theme song... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x61QWSdZUsE
  2. Does anyone have experience with these control arms from 4x4? Any good? Just trying to get about 2" and already need to replace the u can bushings... http://www.4x4parts.com/i-18981105-pathfinder-upper-control-arms.html
  3. @Azbuilt - Is there a ball joint issue with lifting it like that? Also, what is the bump stop for and which one did you use? Thanks
  4. Yea, UCA's. Did you do it, if so was it easy enough? Also, why does RC say their UCA's only fit the HB, and not the pathy, any ideas? Thanks
  5. Azbuilt, I was just about to ask that about the UCA's. I looked at their website and only saw the kit with suspension. I'll try calling them. Did you do it yourself? How easy was it? Also, did you mean that in order to fit your tires you took off your fender 'flare/mud flaps' in the post above? Thanks, I might have some more questions...
  6. Are those Coopers 32x11.5R15? Do those fit without spacers or mods (other than your lift)? Looks great, thinking about doing something very similar since my UCA bushings are shot. Thanks
  7. Can these mount to a wd21 with a standard bumper?

  9. 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 (in about 1990). 3 speed on the floor. 289 4bbl. My dad bought in new, it's now mine and my bro's...pathetically sitting in the garage needing a major restoration.
  10. Thanks for the responses. I've had the truck for over 10 years, I don't think anyone has messed with the torsion bars or anything else on the suspension. I upgraded the shocks to stock size procomps (ES1000 i think) about 6 years ago. I've seen the re-indexing page and will check that out again. 2 more questions: 1) How difficult is the control are swap (assuming I'm already changing the bushings). 2) If I get new control arms, are longer shocks a must? How high can the truck be lifted with stock sized shocks? (same question for the poor mans lift I guess)... Basically, I want to lift it a bit, but don't want to spend too much. This is a second vehicle that doesn't do a lot of miles and doesn't need to perfect. Just want a little lift and more importantly, new tires! Thanks
  11. I'm looking at doing the poor man's lift (torsion bars adjustment in the front and spacers or springs in the rear). I've found info about the springs, spacers, ride heights, ball joint angles, etc... Can someone help me with the torsion bar adjustment. Not the re-indexing, but the actual adjustment to lift the front end. Basically, where do I put the wrench and how do I crank them up. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't find it anywhere. Also, I need new control arm bushings, tires, and an alignment. What order should I do everything 1) bushings 2) torsion bar adjustment 3) alignment 4) tires???? I'm not really into changing the control arms ($$) unless everyone here says I absolutely should. I just want an inch or 1-1/2 lift Thanks
  12. Ok, I did some searching on your page. I see that these are spacers for the rear to lift up the existing springs for an effective lift. Very cool, and if I lift the front I will definitely order these for the rear. I like that I can lift the front, then do some measurements to get a good balance and order however many inches I need. Do you have instructions for installation? Looks easy, just curious. thanks
  13. Steve, I looked at your website, pretty cool. Can you explain using the spacers for lift a little more? What else do you need? Also, I only see rear spacers for the WD21, do you make fronts too? Thanks
  14. @MxPathFinder - I'm thinking about doing something similar. Let me know what you decide. Would also like to know how much it costs to install, or how hard it is to do yourself. @5523Pathfiner - Do you know how to choose the 1.5" vs the 3" rear coils? How do you like the lift, any other suggestions? Any help would be great. Also, does anyone know if you can jump to 33's with this lift?
  15. @Bubbley11, Why do you also need the Jeep coils for the rear, isn't this a full kit? Is it relatively easy to do it yourself? Going to do this to my 95 also. Thanks for the help.
  16. Interesting article about 10 (or 9?) cars that changed the game. The 01 Pathy makes the list! I have a 95 and have never driven an 01, so are they that different R50 fans?? http://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-unlikely-autos-that-changed-cars-forever-234855738.html "2001 Nissan Pathfinder: Autonomous Off-Roading Electronic ascent and descent control eliminated some driver skill (and human error) from off-roading. The Pathfinder's antilock brake system was tuned so that the driver need only hold the brake when descending steep hills, which previously was a dangerous no-no for off-road driving. Accelerating up dirt hills always required a deft touch of the throttle—prior to the Pathfinder's carefully tuned traction control system, that is. It worked best if the driver floored the gas pedal, a definite counterintuitive move in any other off-roader at the time."
  17. I did my wheels recently, truck is black, so I went with flat black. It was super easy and the stuff is forgiving compared to paint. It's not as durable though. @Hytekrednek, GO DAWGS!!!!! I like the idea of the red accents.
  18. Monaco! Here are some cool F1 videos at Monaco, the F1 car is significantly faster around this track (and this is the slowest F1 track). The first video is Senna in the 80s, the Monaco master. The second is Alonso in the Ferrari in 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh6bwZ4ooTI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XciixhEg-XI You should also check out the documentary called Senna and the new Ron Howard movie called Rush (true stroy about the 76 F1 season).
  19. nunya, does it hold up alright? Like Beatup siad, I don't really care about it looking good, they already look crappy, just thought it'll look better, but I don't want to deal with it peeling. I'm thinking the anthracite wheel on a black '95 would look good.
  20. Nice! I really want to paint my LEGO's cheaply, especially the plastic caps...I was going to ask the forum if they anyone knoew how to match the original color, but maybe I'll do this instead. What do you guys think, my truck is black? I like the black, charcoal, gunmetal and anthracite (if you scroll down half way and look at the wheels) https://www.dipyourcar.com/pages.php?pageid=48
  21. @Trogdor636 and @Hatchet - I thought you were saying that you wanted to replace the power mast with a non-power mast. That is what I did, its a PITA, but possible. I got to a point where the power mast was just annoying and I had gone through 4 of them that never really worked 100% anyway. If Hatchet is indeed trying to go from power to non-power, the 'teardrop' is an issue. I bought this one - http://www.discountautoantennas.com/CONVERSIONKITFORPOWERANTENNA.html, and then had to mesh the existing power mast that is inside the fender, the rubber terdrop that touches the outside of the fender, and the aftermarket antenna into one happily, semi-functional family. I did not use the supplied aftermarket antenna cable. It sounds better than my broken power mast sounded, but not perfect. I will try to post some pics when I have a second...
  22. I just did this to my 95. The problem is the housing on the fender that has a teardrop like shape. The hole is on the top and the side of the fender. I was trying to use an adapter similar to the one you posted above, but when you tighten it, it slides over (toward the engine) and leaves a small gap. I ended up just leaving the power motor installed (but unplugged) and rigging up a contraprion to install the non-power antenna using the original base parts that were on the outside of the fender and the power antenna motor esentially becomes a base that is inside the fender (this is hard to describe without pics). It worked. You don't need to remove the fender or the stereo either. I will write it up and post pics...
  23. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a flexible or short fixed antenna to replace a power antenna? Will the fixed antenna have to be wired directly to the stereo? Also, is there any way to disable the power motor without removing the fender (even though I think I will need to do this to plug in the antenna wire properly anyway...) Any ideas or tips would be great. I have broken about 3 crappy power antennas and am sick of replacing them. They don't go up and down right anyway.
  24. Have you replace the timing belt every 105k or is it true that it doesn't necessarily need it?
