  1. this pic is increasing my urge to get a WD21 wife:
  2. NPORA has reached the Peninsular Qatar
  3. Envious , the Pathy is looking good once the rear is leveled it would be awsome . That dwarfed R50 is looking next to yours
  4. X2 , You read my mind , i was just thinking about it , but I was thinking if there would eb enough stucks on monthly basis .
  5. Mabrouk ( Congrats ) , topless and dirty Pathy
  6. I strongly recommend to look into the option of voting to oneself . This is taking away alot of votes from the competitors where the TOTM will end up having multiple users voting for themselves and getting their single self vote while their vote would have made qa difference in others closely competing . Kindly look into this to make the TOTM more competitive and more fair .
  7. Le camion de Fleury is a good name for this R50 it is beautifully modified . I have done snow and rocks with my R50 and i do run on LSD diffs , and as simon said Pezzy also runs without lockers , off course it is always an great advantage and if you have a locker . Looking forward to see the new adventurous R50
  8. Bravo Steve ,tu n’arrêtes jamais a nous surprendre avec tes simple et magnifique modifications . A votre santé et a cette belle Pathy Well written , well demostrated as susal great informative updates
  9. I can’t hide that I am bias to fellow R50s but when it comes for voting I focus more into the picture itself . To me it is not just about the truck , I like you truck a lot and that is some sick flex for your R50 but the picture being blurry doesn’t help it . Like this month Silverton had posted a nice shot I love the way those two same color trucks are posing they look like dancing and it was fun to look at this picture , so I vote on such basis not only for the truck . Now the above being said , yes I share you with the same idea that there is a big crow for the WD21 and many of them wont vote for an R50 which gives a WD21 an advantage in this section . Keep trying my fellow R50 don’t leave the ground for the WD21s you’ve got a sick R50 and got chances to win .
  10. I guess my reply is coming a bit late and you have already made you decision , but I would still post to reassure you of the good choice you have made . As you earlier mentioned you are not into off-road so the terrains you will tackle would be mild ones and both vehicles are capable to tackle mild terrains . The X Terra maybe a better offroader if you are planning to upgrade it because it has a lot more after market support than the R50 . My experience with the R50 in a trip of 5000 km two way trip from Desert weather to snowy mountains and back was fantastic The on road performance was great the engine was on for 24 hrs non stop with speed reaching 180 km on the open roads . The R50 will be much more comfortable on road and handles like a car when ur on asphalt and would surprise you with its off-road capabilities unknown to many . You could get a 2 inch lift look up the lift options under R50 section ( they are basically OME or A/C lift ) you could get a fairly 2inch lift and slab in 32" BFG A/T tires . In addition to Northenpathy check out Fleury’s R50 under members ride , he has got a great set up and good under chassis protection and I recommend Pezzy’s set up . All these trucks give you ideas on how to carry necessary items ( hi lift jack / Jerry can/ axe …) without stuffing your trunk which you will need it’s space to sleep in and will allow you have good recovery points . You may find some calling it caR50 but many don’t know its capabilities I have driven it in various terrains ( sand dunes , rocks , snow , ditches … ) and it took everything the road offered to it and I was driving along with renowned off road oriented SUVs So good luck on your journey

    One clean r50!

I like white , the only reason I didn’t get my Pathy white because when I bought her from the dealer it was December of 2005 and few ones remained in stock as they were introducing the R51 so the only white option was the Pearl white and It didn’t fit the Pathy . I like the white and black contrast on this Pathy above i think this is the Pathy used to advertise for rocky roads
  12. Given the above facts I think it is mainly to protect the cluth from people who cant use it and keep the vehicle in very safe towing capacity .
  13. I am not an expert in towing but i can tell you my experience with towing : one time I had to tow one of the fleet's Tractor heads into the garage for panel beating and repair , the truck was not starting it was a Mercedes Actros 2040s it weighs at least 14000lbs and I towed it with my R50 all the way to the garage some 50 meters . No damage except my plastic bumper bcs my hooking point was much lower than the one on the Tractor . Another time one of tractor heads with the flat bed attached to it weighing around 34,000 lb had its diesel tank punctured and was stranded in the middle of the roundabout and I towed it to the parking lane with my Toyota FJ cruiser . There is a factor to be considered that here in Qatar it is all flat no hills to be tackled and the distances are not long but I think the weights I towed are way over what the manual tells . That doesn’t mean that you can tow on the road or for a long trip these weights but surely you can exceed the 5000 or 3500 lbs noted on the manuals . My 2 cents contribution
  14. Concolation as the security guard says at our head office here
  15. Howa got it , i got that sweet spot and it worked out
  16. Fit them and the only thing that is gonna rub on corners and full turns are some plastics that could e easily fixed or removed .
  17. Seems to be a general R50 problem mine has the same problem on the back corners of the doors , I kept pushing them until I gave up and now I occasionally put them back when my daughter complains
  18. How about off-road performance ? has anyone tried to go off road with the bar on ?
  19. I have nothing more to add to what the guys already gave as good suggestions for repairs . Since you know your truck keep it and dont buy someone else's problem , used cars always come with surprises. For the wife and friends that have problem with the 4th gear let them shift the taxi driver style from 5th to 3rd
  20. I am not sure if it is 1.75” , when I bought them from the dealer he said it is a 2” lift and frankly I didn’t check if they were less . I have fixed them and they were good enough to clear out my 265/75/R16 tires . This is the kit I have used and when compared to the stock silver pathfinder next to mine I was about 6.5 cm higher which is a combination of 1” larger tire and the lift .
  21. I had my Original struts from the factory for about 60,000 km when I got my 2" lift from OME I replaced them with the OME struts that got blown in a very very short period . Luckily I had my original struts still stored and i have mounted them on again and they are doing Perfecto . One should not believe to much the adds for the aftermarket products .
