  1. "...I got a P1140 code so I changed BOTH cam sensors, with new ones..." As previously stated, I already replaced both of them...no change, still got the code. What's bugging me is it will not idle. It's like the idle adjusting screw is backed off, runs fine if I crack the throttle and hold it there, But if released, the motor dies.
  2. Like the title says, Pathy will drive fine, runs smooth but will not idle. Everything was fine till last weekend, I drove on the interstate, and when I exited and stopped at a red light, it just died. Started right back up but won't idle unless I hold my foot on the peddle. I got a P1140 code so I changed BOTH cam sensors, with new ones. I also installed a NEW MAF because my code reader said "Air metering". cleared the codes and it still won't idle. After driving around a little, I got a P1145 code. Any ideas? Is there a reset procedure beside clearing the codes with the scanner? It's a 2001 with the 3.5.
  3. Good info! I didn't realize the torque converter locks up in third as well as fourth. I've noticed the lock up in fourth gear but I haven't paid attention to third too much. Thanks.
  4. I own a 2001 Pathy with the 3.5 and I tow a boat and trailer that weighs around 2500 lbs. I added an external transmission cooler and also air bags on the rear coils. I usually only tow less than 100 miles locally but I am planning on a trip, of about 800 miles one way, later this year. My question is, what do any of you do on a long haul...leave the overdrive on, or turn it off? I get both answers; leave it on and the tranny will run cooler, leave it off so you don't lug the motor and keep the transmission from shifting back and forth. I usually drive about 60 miles an hour so OD on is just around 2k RPM's, OD off is around 3k RPM's. I didn't find anything in the owners manual about the OD except for uphill and downhill.
  5. What exactly did you hit, the motoer or the switch? I am having the same problem.
  6. I'm a noob here. Can I get a description of the spacers and how they are installed? I am assuming these are spring pad spacers to give a small suspension lift? Is there any other hardware required, like longer bolts etc? Thanks guys
  7. Thanks Pezzy. Shows how much I've researched this. I never thought to look for frame rails underneath, kind of assumed it had a frame.
  8. I see a lot of posts for spring lifts, but has anyone done a 2" body lift for the '01 style? I didn't find anything in the search. It seems like this would be an easier way to get tire clearance and keep a soft ride. Which brings up another question...how much rougher is the ride with an AC or OME spring lift? My jeep was a LOT stiffer when I put new springs on it and I'm not sure I want to sacrifice my ride comfort just for a few inches.
  9. Hi guys, I'm a nOOb here. I'm on the Dallas area and I just got an 01 Pathfinder, been wheelin for many years with other rigs so I'm not really new to offroading, just the Pathy. My question is, have any of you rigged your Fogs to stay on when you switch to high beam? I know it can be done on Maxima's and I have it on my Honda, but wasn't sure how to go about it on the Pathfinder. Thanks for the help.
