  1. If 265/70R15s are 30s then what's 31s?
  2. These are my tires as of right now. They're pretty bald so try and picture them brand new. If these are 30s will 31s fit without trimming? What's better for gas mileage 30s or 31s?
  3. darn, I was hoping 32s would fit perfectly without trimming. I'm on my way to purchasing set of 5 tires. Would 31s fit on my '97 without trimming? Right now I'm using "bald" 265/70R15s. I really don't know how tall those are. I'll be purchasing them within 2 weeks. Sam's Club needs me to special order them and Sear's only has Dunlop. Anything good/bad about Dunlop?
  4. Supercharger vs turbocharger? Isn't super quicker on response?
  5. I went by Sam's Club, and they seem not to no anything. I asked them for a catalog since I didn't see any on the racks. He went ahead and tried to recommend 235s and said that's the biggest. He said thats what he has on his Dakota, like I care . I told him that I have on 265/70R15, I guess he couldn't believe they actually fit. I'm guessing the tires were 31". Can anything bigger fit? Like 32" I'm thinking of keeping my stock 15" rims.
  6. That's strange, my mechanic mentioned that Platinum plugs were standard in Nissans. I just had my plugs changed a few months ago. Maybe the next time I change my plugs I'll use NGK's. What's the main reason, is it durability?
  7. I'll try those out. Those will fit nicely on my stock rims?
  8. I think you got that a little mixed. Its either XE or SE, the LE is their luxury line and comes with only auto. The manual vs auto has its ups and downs. Manual is better at gas consumption and auto I believe is better when towing.
  9. My tires are a bit warn, and I was told from my brother that he spotted a bulge on one of the rear tires. Refunds coming and I'm looking to get a new set of 5 to use. Any recommendations. Trucks not lifted and the stock rims are still in use.
  10. Since I took a short vacation down to my in-laws in San Diego, I thought maybe this time I'd check the junk yard there. My girlfriends cousin took me around to the junk yard he goes to. There was a $3.00 charge to enter, but I guess you can take whatever you want. We found only 2 Pathfinders. That didn't help since it wasn't the right generation. We asked if there there newer models to select from. They pointed us in the direction of another junk yard within but there was another charge of $2.00. We looked around since there was no inventory and again, no luck. We head to another junk yard nearby. We made sure we asked for the models before entering. The guy mentioned that there weren't any Pathfinders but there were two QX4s that had been there and one that was just brought in. I headed to the two while her cousin looked through the new one. The ones I went to had always been striped down, inside and out. Luckily, the newer one had the part that I was looking for. Which was this one shown below. It was this little piece. He charged me $20.00 but we managed to bring the price down to $15.00. What's the actual price for this? I'm thinking since we were both young, he probably ripped us off. I was asking for the entire intake manifold be he said it was going to be $50.00. We're we jacked? Since the interior color matched, I remembered I was missing a fuse box cover. Anyone know if the fuses are in the exact same spot? I'm not sure about the color since I flew instead of drove. I'll wait till I get back home. That piece I got for $5.00. Walked out with only those two parts... Total cost: $20.00. Since there were no Pathys, I couldn't look for any hub caps. Forgot about an antenna and a roof rakc piece. The headlamps were either broken, or already gone. So no luck there.
  11. Hehe, you can get away with selling it for lower milage than it is.
  12. At first, I thought wow, this guy went through a lot of colors, then I saw all 3. My grandfather owned a 720 and we use to love to ride it in. Until my uncle totaled it. What I remembered that was so funny about it was, we used a screw driver to start it up. Old and beat up but still ran nicely.
  13. Nissan says that it'l probably consume the same amount as the 2000 and up models.
  14. I was all pissed of today, because of something I don't want to say, but as I pulled up by a black '05 Pathy LE, I felt so happy all of a sudden. I really want one. I know the Pathy is no drag racer, but 270HP ans 290LBS OF TORQUE, would really make me grin compared to my 170HP VG33 :cool2: .
  15. Update on my self-repair: Strangely and coincidently, the hissing noise that had been annoyin me and the engine check light just stopped and shut off. I was going to have it checked during my next oil change but now I don't have it anymore. Personally, I found this helpful.
  16. So, you mean to tell me that the only way for me to check the truck is to pay $75 at the repair shop? :o :sniff: :sniff: :o
  17. Can you find the Self-Diagnostic procedures for the 3.3L Engines? 97 model.
  18. I noticed an increase in response. That last time I asked the auto mechanics to run a diagnostic check, they charged me about $80.
  19. stupid question but mine pulls up, not pushes down. Are the 97's the same? Hahaha, same here. Are you sure you're pushing the release level in the right direction. Mine pushes up.
  20. At the time that I added my brake fluid, my brake fluid was just below the minimum mark. I added about the same ammount if not, more.
  21. I stopped by PepBoys and picked up a can of GUMOUT Air-Intake & Throttle Body Cleaner. I came home and opened up the valve. Seems like I the Las Vegas heat really damaged the plastic since its cracking. I probably need to get a new one soon. But back to the cleaning. I went ahead and starting shooting but the stupid straw kept flying off the head of the spray so I went ahead and worked without it. I kind of got carried away and almosted emptied the eniter can. Lots of black gunk kept pouring out. I forgot to replace the tube and started the car. It wouldn't stay on so I stepped on the gas pedal a few times but it kept dieing on me. I got paranoid and took a look under the hood and realized it wasn't connected. I connected it and it started up nicely. I took the truck around and it started off sluggish at first but it soon restored its power. But now I have two problems. One, I hear sort of a hissing sound. And two, my Engine Check light is now lit up. Will the hissing stop and will the Engine Check light shut off????
  22. I thought cooler air makes a vehicle work better, isn't that why they made a "cold-air intake"?
