  1. So, I *think* 16576-5W900 (same as 16576-5W90A) is the part I need. The difference between it and 16576-4W00A is that 4W00A has an extra port with a metal plug right next to the resonator opening, while in 5W900 it is sealed. This is just for reference in case someone finds this thread in the future.

  2. Well, after probably a 10 year hiatus a came across this site again, after realizing that my ‘02 I had way back In the day would actually be getting a little long in the tooth if I still had it! And plus, I missed hearing all the Car50 jokes from the WD diehards ?. Not sure how many old timers are still around but if you are...HI! Lots has changed for me since I joined way back when...I roll around in a 2k13 4Runner, I have 2 young kiddos and I’m old ? Cheers!

  3. Felt like painting the last bit of my bumper brackets. I still need to grind a but to clear the radiator support. I have enough squeaking as it is already so I don't need more. I also am prepping for the 90A alternator swap. My 70 Amp pulley doesn't clear the alternator and will require me to shave the casing or the pulley where it necks down. I'll have to hold off on getting the 150A in for now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

  4. Dang, 500lb sound system! Hope you got some JL subs in there from my recent research, there aren’t a ton of options for the front, but it breaks down to this: Stock front struts are most common (KYB oem replacements). You can pair these struts with either of the 3 different height Old Man Emu (OME) front springs that have 3 different heights up to about ~1.5” lift. AC Coils offer the highest spring lift with 2” lift springs. All of these springs can work with the KYB stock replacement front struts, but you are extending the front strut closer to its maximum height and risk “top-out” when you hit a speed bump or off-road trail. The only longer, stronger front struts that I am aware available are from Old Man Emu which are a premium cost. if you need more specifics, there are plenty of write ups on the forum. 6. A couple weeks ago I was able to strip down an R50 bought as a parts truck that was headed off to the JY that afternoon. Since I expect to have my truck another 10-15 years, some of this will be replacement parts if needed. I plan to use some of the trim pieces to experiment on where & how to place mounts & to attempt to reclaim some of wasted space in the body walls. Finally, it was a great opportunity to just dissect the interior & see what was under everything. I took a ton of reference photos for the future. You can imagine how excited my wife was when I came home....
