  2. update to an old thread, life happened. Got a new truck after this, and other life stuff, long story short, sold the whole project minus the pathfinder, ended up with another VG33 and have since put it back in the pathfinder, currently not running but soon.

  3. Earlier in the year a family friend gave my a 2004 Pathfinder that her daughter had basically abandoned after the rear trailing arm broke. I got him home, replaced both rear trailing arms, and the track rod. Found out the transfer case was bad, found one for $25 from a salvage yard and put it in. I now need to put an exhaust system on it and replace the rear brakes. The interior is pretty nasty but just in need of a good cleaning. I also need to remount the 3rd brake light. Once I put oil in the engine, it ran super smooth. By next week it should be running and driving so that I can move onto the next phase of putting on some new tires and doing a full detail (I don't like driving filthy cars).

  6. That doesn't look terrible, but I'd want to take a close look at the fuel/brake lines and around the strut towers. Have a look at the pictures here to see where the towers rot, and marvel at the horrorshow of hack repair that Nissan wanted their dealers to do. Some R50s also had rust issues with the fuel filler, but it looks like they may have figured that out by the time they made yours. Unless you're going to clean the holy hell out of everything first, I don't think any paint will stick properly, and paint that doesn't stick just traps more moisture. An oily coating wouldn't be a bad idea. One guy I watch on Youtube uses bar and chain oil cut with thinner so it sprays more easily.

  7. They have all of those! I paid $175 for the full set and they were in really good shape. No tears, some minor cracking but a good Thorough clean and condition and they look pretty decent!

  8. Yeah, there was a double rainbow to the right - the shot of the trucks just isn’t as good. It was a glorious day.

  10. Hey everyone, bought all my parts for my lift for my 2000 SE. So far I've ordered and received: AC front coils KYB Excel front struts LR9447 I just need to buy rear shocks, what shocks does everyone recommend? Obviously Bilstein is the best but it seems everyone is running different series of shocks and wanted to see what the most common used is. Also, how likely is a severe rake with my suspension set up? Thanks guys!
