  2. I tried going the route of calling Nissan North America to get them to rearchive my VIN. As many of you know most if not all R50s are not in the system. Every time I've had Nissan put my VIN back in the system the service writer at the dealership cannot pull my VIN up on his computer they cannot make me an appointment to get the seat belts flxed. So I called Nissan North America and Toad them the problem I was having and the lady told me if the service writer can't look up your van and find it in the system to give her a call back and she will call the service writer. The service writer was a fellow by the name of Todd I don't know his last name didn't catch it he was really nice he told me that he was going to be calling Nissan North America to get to the bottom of it and that I shouldn't have anything to worry about. That was 8:30am this morning EST. I recall the service writer saying something about Nissan warranties seat belts up to a million miles I've never heard of that. I had my QX4 seat belts replaced back in December of 2018 with no problem Infiniti/ Nissan LOL Sent from my SM-S367VL using Tapatalk

  3. Looks like the 240sx (and likely other models) used the same 12v socket and the light-up trim ring, and there are some on eBay, but they're stupid expensive for what they are. Looks like it would be pretty easy to mount an aftermarket 12v socket in its place. I may end up doing that myself, as mine's starting to crumble too. Your clamshell's condition is pretty typical, unfortunately. I fabricobbled a replacement from sheet metal for mine. I'll keep an eye out the next time I'm at the wreckers, though, on the off chance.

  4. Both times I've had one fail, it was leaking around some little mystery port next to one of the hose connections. Have someone push the pedal and watch the master, I could see fluid welling out of that hole when the brakes pressurized. I don't think I've seen a seal kit to rebuild these, doesn't mean they don't exist though. New MCs aren't too expensive. I tried a few brands when I was having issues with my brakes (long story) and didn't notice much difference between them. There is supposed to be a difference between the rear disk vs rear drum masters, though, so make sure you get the right one for your truck. Good luck, hopefully your brake work doesn't turn into a colossal PITA like mine did!

  5. Best I've found for my '93 is the '90 manual at cardiagn. Nicoclub has the '94/'95 manual for the round dash trucks, but enough little things changed between square dash and round dash that the '90's your best bet.

  6. It looks pretty normal, I don’t doubt that he has legitimate Land Rover springs, whatever part number he got. There’s no front lift that will level Land Rover springs, let alone MD’s without a spacer. The HD’s are a definite step up in weight rating and will lift a higher height, about 1.25-1.5” according to rugged rocks. Even on AC’s and 9449’s I have about 1-1.25” of rake. See post #167 for a picture of freshly installed HD’s with Land Rover springs:

  7. Well I'll de darned, Dobinson's does in fact make a small lift. Couldn't find the link to the Lovells one @RAW444 mentioned but if he was right about the Dobinson's I'm sure he was right about that too. Dobinson's stuff is very highly favored in the 4th gen 4Runner community, in many cases higher than OME, so I'd put a big thumbs up for that. https://www.dobinsonsprings.com/nissan/niss-79/kits

  10. Hello i haven't posted much on here i haven't gotten around to it. i will be updating my page in the near future. I was curios what thickness of steel did you use to weld to and mount your bumper. It looks great and your rig inspired me to copy it.

  11. CB is definitely worth it if you trail with other people, and it’s just fun to have. I’ve met people on road trips just driving along the highway and you both have a CB

  12. When you always have a genuine wonder of how erratic your idling is going to be when you start it up or put it into park. OR: When you let go of the wheel while driving just to see how off (read: bad) the toe/camber really is before you dedicate time to doing your 100th alignment this year.
