  1. Looks like progress! To get the crank seal out of mine, I made a hook in the end of a straight screwdriver, polished it so it wouldn't garf the crank, and then slipped it under the seal to hook on behind. Then I used a socket I'd slid onto the screwdriver first to hammer against the handle until the seal popped out. Worked great for the cam seals, too.

  2. Hello all, We just replaced a totalled Rogue (POS) with an 02 QX4, being 18 years old with 195K it's in need of some love and I'm just the man to give it. Looking at her in stock form I see a blank canvas, I'll do my best to share my journey. I'm a pretty savvy DIY mechanic and am equipped to fab/weld. I look forward to the sharing of information! And ROLL TIDE!

  3. An update as of yesterday before I went to work. The heads are torqued down to spec with the new head bolts and copper-coated gaskets, lifter bodies and rocker arms are all in, and the AC clutch and alternator are reinstalled. Tomorrow will feature me putting the headers back on, installing the new water pump, replacing the necessary seals if they aren’t a pita (like the crank seal I’m digging out), and getting the intake put back on. 6. The OEM studs in the top hat are pressed in there pretty good, so if you did cut them it would be extremely hard to remove the stud still in the top hat. I would do it right by taking the strut apart, what I did was place the top hat ontop of 3 sockets that were a little larger than the studs and had the stud facing up then just hammered them out. Mine came out pretty easy but experiences might vary due to corrosion and mileage. Also if you had the bolt coming down and the nut on the bottom it would be almost impossible to tighten the nut on the inner side in the fender compared to just having the bolts coming up and tightening the nuts via in the engine bay Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  7. We were stuck in limp mode this weekend from a simple mud puddle splashing into our MAF system. Just bought an MAF sensor and tube from a pathy part out, so everything’s running back to normal. The lift has excellent ride qualify off-road now, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
