  1. Hi Everyone, I was a small-time lurker on this forum for about a year or so before I decided to pull the trigger and hunt for an R50. Finally created my account today. I picked up a 2001 QX4 from OfferUp, of all places, in September. I got pretty lucky since the seller is an Infiniti mechanic (met at the dealership) and he picked up the car from a customer on a trade in. I have already taken the QX4 on a couple of road trips with the family and we couldn't be happier. Looking forward to possibly meeting up with a couple of SoCal Pathy/QX4 owners!

  2. Some fluids last a lot longer than others, but all eventually break down or get contaminated by wear material, which accelerates wear on the components that depend on them. IMO "lifetime fluid" is sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Good to hear yours was an easy fix!

  3. I am new to this forum but I have had my pathfinder for around hundred thousand miles and I seem to remember buying it in 2000 or maybe 2001. It was in magnificent shape at a local car dealer and only had 40,000 miles on it. It has right around 140,000 miles on it now. I keep it at my cabin in Utah where my wife and I live half the year. The other half of the year we live in Las Vegas Nevada. Winters in Vegas and summers at around 8000 feet over looking Cedar city Utah. my 1992 pathfinder SE stays in the garage up there during the winter and I drive it in the summer from May to October. I am strongly thinking about having the gasoline engine removed and putting in a manual diesel. If I can’t find one that will work I’ll have to put in a larger normally aspirated gasoline engine probably with more power. I am looking forward to learning from all of the aggregated experiences of the folks on this forum. Off roading in the state of Utah is truly amazing. Thanks for listening and hello to all.

  4. got my self a very clapped out and rusty 2003 r50. all that's done to it is a set of general grabber AT 2. I've also been dealing with a lovely lean code on bank 2 so I'd love to hear some ideas about that I did hook up some scanners and senors and noticed that both of my post O2 sensors are malfunctioning.
