  1. 140-180F is the normal range mine runs at. Maybe sometimes close to 200F on the trail.

  2. Just an FYI, had my door panels off last weekend(new speakers) the screw in the pull handle does not need to be undone,it stays on the door. Just remove the decorative ring. One less step, just saying.

  3. Depending on where you are , I have a fully operational VG30 installed in my old truck and running... swing by Montreal, QC and we can pull it out some weekend.... gift/ donation / donor to keep another WD21 running.

  4. I gave the FSM a quick scour, but didn't see anything in particular. Good actual numbers like adamzan gave are best, though. You definitely want to upgrade to an external cooler. I did it for mine, albeit too late, and it even made my coolant run less hot. I didn't use a fan for the trans cooler, though, you might seen even better temps.

  5. It has been done, many times I am sure. There are many options available, personally, id yank the engine, have the bottom end rebuilt and do a VG33 head swap, better performance with the same wiring and injection system, no mods necessary other than the head upgrade. There are affordable rebuild kits out there and with a bit of machine on the bottom end along with the cylinder head upgrade, you'll be golden. Sent from my LG-H700 using Tapatalk

  6. Might have a go for the first time. Winter trip up the Carricktown track in Central Otago, NZ, in my JDM diesel r50 with a mate in his lifted JDM Forester XT. We were stopped by that big drift, was about a metre deep in the middle and just couldn't get through.

  7. +1 on that probably being deeper than it looks. Won't heal itself, though, so you might as well see what you're up against.

  8. May also want to consider an 02 model...same performance, but still drive-by-cable (03/04 are drive-by-wire = more codes) and beyond the 01's power valve issues. Lift wise, OMEs are great springs. They provide plenty of lift without sacrificing ride quality. Ran them for years and continue to do so.
