  2. i did the thing! definetly hate those regular spring compressors hope the next person to do the purple bastard pack uses the heavier duty versions mentioned above. really looks great and rides so much nicer now. immediately drive five minutes away to the trails heading to the apilachian trail to test out everything’s soundness and we are good thanks to two camber boltsets. still need better alignment done though but it’s okay closeness. 4. @micahfelker stopped by for a weekend of wheeling! He smoked his rockers and I opted out on some obstacles because of that. Small update: I added lights. Flush mount fogs (nighlight), spots pods in the lower bumper (nighlight), spot lights on the roof rack (xprite), and rear spot pods (nighlight). The do the job for only costing $12, $20, $23, and $12 respectively. ALSO: I have trailgear 67" sliders on order. i will be welding them to my unibody rail with either my own gusset kit or a premade one. I'll tack thicker steel onto that rail for sure and then weld the sliders to the steel squares. Any tips or suggestions on how to best fit them? how far from the body should they be/what angle should they be set at? My grandpa is teaching me to weld and we'll probably tackle this project together once he's back in town. I'll do some research online about getting them to mount at the most useful angle, but if you all have any quick suggestions id appreciate it! Check out the NPORA sticker on my rear window, like $9 on etsy! I also picked up a smittybilt kinetic energy rope and a $30 harbor freight air compressor-the compressor is slow and overheats after 2.5 tires, so mayble i'll pick up another one and run two at a time. Still cheaper than alot of other air setups.

  6. Man, I am sorry I do not get onto these forums near enough. Just moved to SoCal 2 months ago and life has been crazy. Had some free time to wrench on my 02 yesterday, installed new trailing arms (minus one that I rounded a nut on) and replaced a leaky O-ring on one of the camshaft position sensors. She's at almost 170k miles now and runs like a beast, I drive her to work everyday. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

  7. I feel a little guilty not sharing, so I figured I’d update everyone that I ended up selling the R50 this weekend. I had been splitting daily driver duties between the pathfinder and my Charger, and since switching jobs last year I’ve found myself really in need of a truck. The result was that while the pathfinder did its best to fill the job of a truck, the Charger just sat around 90% of the time not getting driven. Anyway, I decided to trade in the Charger on a 2019 Ram classic, and sold the pathfinder. I like this forum so I’ll still be around if anyone has any questions! And here’s the new rig. I literally brought it home from the dealer and backed it up to the trailer to head to a dance competition, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Yep, us old guys lived with the wire type fusible links. The way to check them for failure is to gently pull on them. If they are burned, they stretch. They are just a lighter gage wire (rule of thumb is 4 sizes smaller than the circuit wire they are protecting) with special insulation that is not supposed to burn. I thought back in the early 80's when I started doing diagnostics, that it was cool that Nissan made them plug into the wiring rather than crimped in like the domestics did. The different colors was a nice touch too. The domestics just had them in black with a tag showing the size. Then they came out with the maxi-fuse style and that was just brilliant. Another future modification to my Pathy down the road.

  10. Yeah I don’t know why but Rockauto sometimes won’t display parts when you select “Infiniti QX4”. I usually check my exact vehicle first but if I don’t see the part I need then I check “Nissan Pathfinder”. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1997,pathfinder,3.3l+v6,1212051,suspension,coil+spring,7512 I got the moogs.. they were cheap and made in USA. My car drives completely different now. Taking curves, coming to a stop, and acceleration are very noticeably better.

  11. AC coils are in! Sitting at 36.5” in the front after driving home, so as of right now my rig is completely level. Also, I forgot to mention this, but I complained to AC about their shipping and got refunded $18 lol. Also, old spacer kit is up for sale, 2.5” front 3” rear. Pm for details.
