  1. The winds have been brutal all day. Any loose stuff i had outside now one of my neighbors own. Had some small pathces of heavy rain but not a wash out and it jumped up close to 80 at 4 this afternoon and the sun popped out. Still windy as all get out, but nowhere near what Texas got. Still pray for the lives lost and the hearts broken because of wonderful mother nature. Sent from my SM-S737TL using Tapatalk

  2. I’d say that turned out nicely! (I’m just not sure if you’ve got enough forward facing light on there ; )

  3. Installed my Bosch fogs. I searched forever for the factory bull guard grill guard whatever you want to call it and could not find one for the QX4 AKA Regulus that the fog lights attach to. I know I could have gotten an after-market set up so I thought long and hard on whether or not to buy aftermarket or put them on top of the bumper in front of the grill which to me I think looks stupid. Or I could recess them back in the grill. Either way I was going to have to drill holes in my bumper so I decided to hack my grill all up. My cutting tool done me justice and I think they turned out great now all I got to do is wire them up. 4. Good news today! I have a FREE OHV park 30 minutes from my house, miles of desert/canyon trails of all difficulties. Lots of motorcycles around, but I saw people with trailered jeeps too. Also, my bilsteins are scheduled to arrive Tuesday. As suspected, the limitations on this vehicle’s capability are now a matter of armor and lockers. Ground clearance and suspension travel were sufficient for what I encountered today, but, as seen above, I had a “rock sliders would sure be nice” moment. I’m also thinking a front locker would be useful. All in all though, a good day, and it looks like there’s a lot more to be explored!

  5. 1) New Wiper Blades 2) New Light Bulbs for the OEM Fogs 3) New A/C Belt 4) New P/S, Fan Etc Belt. 5) Filled all the nooks and crannies with my junk from my old car. (Emergency Supplies, Tools, Gloves Etc) 6) Flipped my 2" Drop Hitch from my old car to fit the Pathfinder. The Belts weren't too bad. Anybody that can turn a wrench can do it, overall I think it was a 20 minute job (not including looking it up online). What did you do to your Pathfinder today?

  6. Hi All, I live in Guyana, but my family resides in Boston....so I travel between places. I've recently acquired a 95 se v6, some 12 years after I sold my first one, and I have a 2011 LE V8 in Boston. So far, I've installed a thermostat ( PO had taken it out) and new shocks, hoping to do electric fans and headers in the near future. Currently searching to see if there's a definitive solution to the non functional speedometer....so if anyone can shed some light or direct me to the relevant info...it would be most appreciated. Cheers Sese

  8. Ooh180, http://pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=911&start=190#p23725 shows the former option or at least one way to do it. It looks pretty involved doing it that way. I am not sure if the instructions they proved now are any different than the ones that were supplied back in 2008, the original poster commented on how inadequate they were to complete the job. Good luck and please take some detailed pics of your process. I would like to see what you come up with. I am in the process of getting an Airfow snorkel from Argentina, it is sitting at a friends house in Miami as it was hand carried on a plane from Buenos Ares by the CEO of Airflow. Another member posted some pics of them on my post about Chinese made snorkels Since I have a coworker who happens to be from there, I was able to get a hook up and should have it here within the week. I should have the complete instructions produced by them in hand and can get them translated to share their take on the install. I will post the picks when I get them. The one thing I noticed was a different type of bracket for the mid A pillar mount. Hope that helps

  9. Haven't been doing the picture taking I had planned on in the process of getting my poor old 93 back to drivable on public roads condition. The last 3.5 years of sitting out in the back yard has done nothing good to my truck. So far I have replaced 3 ball joints (tomorrow gets the left lower and questionable right upper replaced along with the tierods), idler arm mount and bushings (I have the steering upgrade), replaced rear shocks with a pair of Bilsteins from a Titan pro4x. Replaced the damaged headlights with some I had found a few years ago in a salvage yard. Replaced the headlight bulbs with a set of LED bulbs and decided I didn't need to build a headlight harness after all, those lights are white and bright. Seem to have a good pattern also. Took the old Hella 500's off and put a 20" 3 row LED light bar on in their place. Cleaned out the wiring mess of the last 20 years and got most of it cleaned up and sorted out. Have a bit more to do there, but am burned out on the wiring for now. Going to take a break from that for a few days and get other stuff done. Removed the ignition lock assembly and installed a cheap push button starting system a friend gave me. It is working better than I expected, and in that process, cleaned out a lot of added wiring and the remote start security system I put in about 15 years ago that was a bit temperamental. Finally decided to take a shot at swapping the HVAC control head and stereo locations. That project was a miserable bugger that is still needing some tweaks. However, I do like having the stereo up just under the center vents much better. Did LED bulbs swapped into the map lights, after 26 years the bulbs finally died. Did a LED panel upgrade in the center dome light that is very bright. My cargo bay light has rotted to dust(so much for the idea that plastic lasts for a thousand years bs) and finally found one that is just a little bigger but will fit in its place. Have to Fab a mounting plate for it. Added 4 high current USB charging ports and a 12V outlet to the center console. Replaced the in-track vent visors that never worked right with a set of Wade low profile visors I found on Amazon for $18. Figured at that price, I couldn't loose. Things still on the short list to get done is replace the broken muffler, get it cleaned up, get the replacement foglights and turn signals in, replace the tires when I can find an extra $1k for those, replace all 10 rear suspension bushings (again, sigh). And finish the wiring. Hopefully in another couple weeks, I will get the registration renewed and be able to drive it legally again. All fun and games in my limited spare time and as I manage to squeeze out a little extra money for the repairs and upgrades. Also need to find a practical way to post what few pictures I have taken in this project. Nothing has gone simple or easy. I managed to bend the new right upper balljoint and suspect the other new one I replaced it with is starting to bend as well. Never saw one bend like this before and didn't think it was possible, but I did it somehow.

  10. one word. allignment. start with all parts involved with your allignment at the same time. get it alligned and then work on the other stuff. if your tires are good . if your tires are in bad shape then you can do the alignment last. but changing all of your bad parts with good parts can make your allignment worse until you get it done. the parts that can effect your alignment are upper and lower control arm bushings centerlink, inner and outer tie rods, adjusters and idler arm upper and lower ball joints inner and outer wheel bearings. I just went through all of this. edit: btw shocks while they may not affect the alignment can ruin new tires if they are bad. best replace them before new tires, if your tires are good right now you can replace the shocks without needing re-alignment Almost forgot, Torsion bars will also effect your alignment, especially if one of them starts to weaken and cause one side to sag.

  11. Here's and idea! Sell the Scion and use the money to put one of those 2.5l Cummins motors in the Pathfinder! Then you'll get like 30mpg and it'll be cheaper than paying off that scion haha
