  1. After 10.5 hours of stress I finally got the poly bushings in the LCA and installed new OEM ball joints. This was a really super slow project as the time consuming part was getting the old bushings out of the LCA and putting the new ones in. Also the ball joint was putting up a fight as well so with the help of a pickle fork and jack it came out nicely as well. I'm going on a road trip late next month so I thought now is the time to replace old worn components and dont have anything fail on me. I just gotta order a couple more things and it should be good to go. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  3. For me when I’ve tried to have small sealed enclosures in the past, it only lasts a couple months before I fill up the back with a large vented enclosure. I’m sure it’s mostly a “nothing is ever enough” character flaw on my part but I’d use the absolute largest enclosure you can live with from the beginning and avoid soon to come dissatisfaction with the output from a low profile system. This is what I had and while space was somewhat of an issue when I needed to haul my toolboxes or the kids Christmas presents, the remaining 95% of the time was fine. I will say that having a large woofer gives you the ability to adjust each song to the correct low end output while also reserving the ability to jam out when you like. For instance Third Eye Blind - Tattoo of the Sun’s low end just isn’t going to pop unless you have a large system with gobs of output, and there are many other songs like it where achieving the crisp punches on a lower output system means you are going to have to overdrive the woofer and the sound quality is going to suffer. On the other hand, and again this is surely a character flaw on my part, with a high output system the temptation to jam out and be “that guy” riding around with thunderous rumblings emitting from your vehicle happens more often then not.. That’s my 2cents :]

  4. I built a simple MDF box for a 10” sub and placed it on the left side of the cargo area. It’s easy to remove when I need the space. I have since replaced that box with a JL Audio stealthbox, and the one pictured is for sale if you’re interested. Polk Audio db105 driver. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. If you're putting them in the original housing I would just go with some LED's. Running HID's in the reflector housing would be basically like running with your high beams on all the time, plus then you need a ballast and all that crap. And they're more expensive. I run these in my car https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BNFXZSH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  7. Interesting, I’ll have to go out and take some measurements and see how much space I have to work with. May not be a bad idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I kinda agree with @onespiritbrain. Go as big as you can. This is the box I carried over from my old 4runner and I don’t really run into storage isssues. Plus, the jaw dropping base is worth it (to me). Too bad the rear window doesn’t roll down like it did on the 4runnner

  9. you could always fab up something to mount a shallow ten in that little hidden cubby on the passenger side in the back....like this

  10. Oh gotcha, those are beefy 31s. I feel like I could have almost rolled my 32s stock if I molded some fender areas, but the lift goes on tomorrow

  13. dont buy it from nissan. its over 100 bucks. make one out of two pieces of good quality cable and attach your own eyelets. My vehicle actually doesnt qualify for this tsb....and i dont have the bolts in the same place on the manifold as yours does...but i just made myself a bracket and attached the two grounds to it that go to the harness that the o2 sensors are on. I then attached on more cable and ran that back to my negative battery cable and it fixed the bank 1 and 2 no sensor activity codes i was getting

  15. I suppose I should mention that, for anyone else who can’t find a carrier, when I was across town a few weeks ago I saw 2-3 old style carriers.

  19. Went out to get dirty today and did just that. Absolutely loved these muddy/rocky trails. l Easily out wheeled my brothers 02 4runner, even with his fancy shmancy rear locker . Although when he gets his lift and tires it’ll be a different story. There were a couple of tricky spots such as the first pic and the pics when the truck was in this position, super slick as well. Most of the mud pits had ice on them which made them so much more fun! All in all It was a great day and I fell more in love with my pathfinder which I didn’t know was possible [emoji23]. On my way home I did find out something annoying... my drivers speaker is cutting in and out, it’s been doing it for awhile when I hit big bumps but today it was half way in and half way out so was making some weird noises every 20 mins or so. Annoying but I’m going to check the wires going to the speakers someday when the weather is nice. Just realized I have 3 of the same picture, oops!!

  20. http://www.offroadexpress.kiwi/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=36606 I would take the advice from the post above and go with the FS5R30a which is behind all v-6s in the US. The good news is if you have the bell housing (front section on a FS5R30a) of the manual transmission of your engine you can take place that onto the center section of the transmission. This requires disassembling the transmission case and is not hard at all, but get the factory service manual.

  21. My understanding is that the diesel and gas engines don't share a bolt pattern. IIRC the guy on the Facebook page who put a TD27 in a (formerly) gas WD21 had to track down the correct bellhousing to get the TD27 to play nice with his automatic.

  22. If anyone is interested I can do the balancer mod for the v belt swap on the 3.3. I am a machinist and I have the 5mm broach to open the keyway after the bore is increased.
