1. Thanks for the info Slartibartfast, good to know. I like your idea on the drive pulleys, that was my thought also. I received my donor engine yesterday but have not had time to really look closely at it but plan to over the next couple of days. I noticed that the engine does have a v-belt groove for the power steering, so I think the p/s might be totally doable with just bracket mods. on vg30 mounting setup(for proper alignment). I am going to measure alt shaft to see if I can just swap pulleys, if the vg30 bracket is adjustable I should be able to eliminate the tensioner setup. That would only leave the a/c compressor pulley to deal with, I am hoping to maybe just swap out the clutch assembly but not sure if that would work. I am a little disappointed with my "e-bay impulse buy", the company sent me an engine with a different block # then the engine that was in the ad and it looks to have closer to 150k miles then the 40-60k they advertise. I have an e-mail into the company asking why that is?. I have decided that even if I have to completely rebuild it it may still be worth it for the 3.3 block and heads but was hoping for something I could drop in for now and rebuild later. The thought of having two engines apart to me means twice the work. Anyway, thanks for the info and for following my project, will keep you posted! Take care, Ron

 2. Mine did this with this with aftermarket CVs. I believe the brand was cardone or surtrack.

 3. Thanks for all of the responses. I ended up swapping in remanufactured Cardone axles (got a great price, and ordered just before I saw the Rockford recommendation), TRQ lower ball joints (the rubber on mine were all cracked), and Nissan OEM stabilizer bar links (same...rubber was completely shot, and found a good price on ebay). I was going to try to do the work with a friend, but he flaked and the tire shop gave me a good price for doing all of the work at the same time. I've been taking my time, mostly due to laziness, but think I have taken care of most of the problems with my pathfinder. The last major thing is to figure out the roof rack situation (need to pull the anchors from a vehicle in the junkyard, but haven't looked forward to pulling down TWO roof liners) so I can store the spare, which doesn't fit underneath anymore. Thanks to the forum for help through this process...through lurking and asking questions, I've learned a ton.

 4. Looks like an absolute BEAST in this pic! Goes to show once again how good lifted black R50's look; my favorite.

 5. Search the threads, there’s at least 2 which are extensive. I know one is by@ferrariowner123 but there’s also another common poster who has done it as well. (I’d hunt it down but I’m on Tapatalk mobile right now).

 7. @ferrariowner123 imports them from Japan. I believe he helped broker a purchase formicahfelker

 8. It’s worth noting that it may compromise safety in a front impact as it likely inhibits ejecting the drivetrain components down & away from the passenger compartment. I’m not saying you shouldn’t do it, just pointing out pros & cons.

 9. My dad's got similar stories of hopping trains to go fishing as a kid. Makes my childhood seem pretty boring!
