  1. Well, one diode and one capacitor later, my light setup works perfectly now. So I guess this project is complete unless I add anything to the circuit later. I’m happy to help if anyone has any questions that weren’t covered or wants to see more pictures. Thanks for all your input, I definitely learned by taking on this project

  4. After patiently waiting they finally arrived couldn't believe I also got the corner lights along with the fender lights really good deal 315$ out the door shipping and all. I've looked high and low for the wiring diagram on a terrano regulus and cannot find a FSM manual on it. I can get on and download the FSM for the 2001 QX4 which it has the Xenon too. Does anyone know if the wiring for the headlights on a 01 QX4 is the same for a 97 Terrano Regulus with the Xenon headlamps. Just wondering if I can use the 01 QX4 headlight wiring diagram and make it work on my 97 QX4? Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50

  5. Here's the other fusebox. Nothing HID-related in it. My truck also has factory remote unlocking.

  6. Wow its been 2 years and I never brought anyone up to date, hope I can be forgiven ?. I’ve done quite a lot since then but still feel as if I’ve made not much headway. As for the O2 sensor I cant say i remember what the mechanics said but I know I had it replaced. In reference of what I’ve done since, switched back to conventional, had the leak fixed but recently found I had a new tiny one coming from the oil pan gasket while changing oil. Had the tranny drained and filled because flushing is rough on an older auto trans from what ive been told. Still have some rough shifts, worse in the winter I’ll say but thats to be expected im sure. In recent months I’ve found that my mpg is in the toilet with an average of about 12mpg if im lucky but I feel as if my gas guage is not accurate because after having the fuel light come on I only fill up about 16 gallons! I highly doubt the engineers would have 5 gallons in reserve?! Still havent addressed the fan clutch issue but it still roars and now the belt squeals fairly loud when the rpms reach over about 4500 which is also another sign of the clutch going bad ive heard. Had the belt replaced around a year and a half ago. Still losing about a quart every 1000 miles that has not changed. Finally something I’ve always been curious in is the temp guage being just below the halfway mark which I’m wondering is normal. Ill attach an image of it showing the needle at operating temp where it pretty much never goes above what’s shown. It would make sense if it is slightly below if my fan is never disengaging but you tell me. If anyone has some advice on any subject or where I should look next I’d love it. Just shoot me a response and lets get talkin! Edit: Couldn’t figure out how to attach image because it’s size was too big

  7. Loaded the bikes and some people up and went for a ride yesterday, the weather was amazing. After riding on the AC springs in the rear for a few weeks I love how they ride. They are definitely very stiff but I enjoy it, especially when loaded up the springs sat level, and that was with the bike rack, 4 bikes, and 4 people in the truck. Really enjoying the better handling as well!

  9. Thanks so much for taking the time to take pictures have the hid system on your Terrano. That helps me out in understanding how the wiring schematic works. I noticed you have another fuse box on the driver side in front of the HID relay box could you please take a picture of that one I'm just curious as to what it says and what's listed on it. I really do appreciate your help thank you so much. Also thanks a lot for the phone numbers sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I was asleep when you messaged since we're on completely different sides of the planet. Peace and Love bro. 11. Christchurch New Zealand (although I can be found between Queenstown, Dunedin & Chch usually). If you're ever over here be prepared to see a LOT of R50s - because they're basically all diesels and as such are practically unkillable. The TD/QD series engines are some of the most reliable ever made IMO. Known for doing half a million+ kms on basic maintenance alone. The rest of the R50 usually falls to bits before the engine haha. I've even seen numerous late-model R50s with blown ZD30s that have been QD32 swapped. Fuse box cover Fuse box insides HID relay box cover HID relay And a shot of the factory twin-battery HID-equipped QD32ETI engine bay... It's very busy and actually quite cramped to work on. Changing the HID bulb - nightmarish.

  15. Yeah! Another JDM headlight brother! Question, how are you going to get the fender lights to work without the fenders? -Kyle
